GENERAL SOCIOLOGY
(objectives)
The lessons' purpose is providing a cognitive base useful to analyze elements and processes that characterize social domain in general and mainly society.
-
Nobile Diego
( syllabus)
If you think of sociology as reflective thinking about man, on his acting in society, one can say that he has always existed: from philosophy, literature, scholars of all ages to the most diverse fields. A science stems from the need for men to meet certain needs, proposing answers, practical solutions to certain problems or cognitive needs. Early sociological elaborations were attempts to reach an understanding of how, and through which actors, society was transforming and provide some guidance in establishing new social orders. As the problems of urban and industrial societies worsened, both in size and complexity, as the capitalist system developed, new political movements emerged and with them collective movements, sociology assumed the task of investigating and try to solve the multiple problems of a modern society. Today, the sociologist has to be able to analyze and respond to other issues of social coexistence: globalization, ecology, gender and sexuality, migrations ... great themes that bring in the transformations of social relationships, family, stratification , education, religion, the arts, the use of mass media. The course intends to address the forms and changes of living in society, according to different theories and methods of investigation.

IMPARA PAOLO
( syllabus)
Morin invites us to reflect on the current state of knowledge and the challenges that characterize our time: the stakes are the new problems posed to human coexistence by an irreversible planetary interdependence between economies, policies, religions, diseases of all human societies. In order to make these challenges meetable, a reform of education is indispensable. But to achieve it, a reform of the organization of knowledge is necessary. It is in this perspective that Morin places at the base of the reform of the school that he hopes for that type of thought whose elaboration has made him famous throughout the world: the complex thought.

HISTORY OF ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY
(objectives)
The discipline expresses its foundation on the cognitive and speculative level for the professional educator. Referring to Platonic and Aristotelian thought on issues such as freedom, knowledge and justice lead to and find construction of the identity of the person allowing it to fit with greater awareness in a civic and human context.
-
IMPARA PAOLO
( syllabus)
In the ancient world and then again in the modern one, "La Repubblica" has never failed to carry out its main task: that of inviting people to think about the destiny of their individual and social lives. According to Plato, destiny is not prescribed and immutable, but to be imagined, argued and built. Together with Plato's Republic and in opposition to it, Aristotle's Politics is the text at the foundation of the whole Western political tradition. If in the Platonic State no one has the right to a form of existence that is disinterested and immune from the concerns of common life, for Aristotle instead "the ideal city is that in which every citizen can dispose of himself for activities for which he is not accountable to the city, and in view of which he also exercises the ethical virtues and makes his own contribution to the public life of the city".

IMPARA PAOLO
( syllabus)
The learned has a particular task: to promote, in general terms, through the progress of the sciences, the progress of humanity. The learned must make people aware of their real needs and point out new goals to them; he sees not only the present but also the future, and can show the new degree to which humanity must strive. In this sense the learned is the "educator" of humanity. And he is also an example of morality, showing in himself the highest degree of moral perfection attainable in his day. The learned does for professional activity what for others is a parenthesis, an escape from daily work; he has the absolute duty to fight for the truth.

Starting from a preliminary knowledge on the practical use of some main media, TV cinema, computer camera, the course aims to highlight the specific languages. Each medium is not neutral but has specific characteristics that you need to know to make proper use of them in education. This seems to us indispensable because the media are not reality but represent it. They have enormous potential, but they must always be included in a project of critical analysis by the educator, who in this case could accustom young people to ask themselves these questions: who produced the message, for what purposes? What interests are behind it? With what techniques was it built? What impact does it have on the audience? Then we will move on to an online exchange and teaching project with schools, centres, universities, which will try in particular to highlight the interactive perspective of the use of the Internet.

SPECIAL EDUCATION
(objectives)
The course aims to analyze and reflect on the processes of social integration, to identify the skills and attitudes that can facilitate the understanding of the questions and resources of people with disabilities in different relational contexts: family, university, work.
-
GRASSELLI BRUNA
( syllabus)
The course programme aims to contribute to the analysis and understanding of the process of social integration in the family, in the university and in the workplace. The need for reflection on the mental and social changes that such a "radical" process has brought about, needs "observers" and educational operators capable of representing this complex, suggestive and mysterious universe, where research and resources, significant questions and answers have grown. The reflection that was born as an integral basis of this pedagogical path is the certainty that integration does not involve the cancellation of special care, but rather a task "challenging and exciting", for special responses to specific needs. It is in the search for possibilities and communication tools that integration needs to grow. There is not, in fact, a single way of using one's mental, emotional and relational abilities, but different ways, times, needs, symbols, especially for people with disabilities: not only words, pencils, computers, but art, music, body, movement, silence ... mystery! The enhancement of the potential of each person must reach the highest possible level of growth, can not be limited to cognitive aspects but must relate to those affective, social, moral, aesthetic, spiritual. We are certainly in a phase of great planning and creative strength of the process of social integration. The course aims to acquire knowledge and skills through case analysis, role play and narrative.

CAMERUCCI MAURA
( syllabus)
WHEN A CHILD IS BORN IT HAS AN EXCEPTIONALLY CAPABLE ORGANISM WITH WELL-FUNCTIONING SENSE-MOTOR SYSTEMS. FROM THE FIRST DAYS OF LIFE IT IS CAPABLE OF LEARNING ASSOCIATIONS BETWEEN STIMULI AND RESPONSES AND THE ROLE OF MEANING AND FAMILIARITY OF EVENTS BECOMES IMMEDIATELY IMPORTANT. IT PAYS PREFERENTIAL ATTENTION TO THOSE FACTORS THAT HAVE CLEAR CHARACTERISTICS SUCH AS ON-OFF, MOVING LIGHTS, INTERMITTENT SOUNDS. AS HE BEGINS TO ACQUIRE INNER REPRESENTATIONS OR PATTERNS OF PHENOMENA, HE FOCUSES ON SITUATIONS THAT RESEMBLE FAMILIAR ONES OR ARE MODERATELY DIFFERENT BECAUSE OUR BRAIN IS DIVIDED INTO TWO HEMISPHERES, EACH OF WHICH RECEIVES INFORMATION AND SENDS SIGNALS ALSO TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BODY. FUNCTIONS AS A CONTROL AND SORTING CENTRE CAPABLE OF ACTIVATING THIS OR THAT PATHWAY TO PERFORM A TASK EFFICIENTLY: EACH COMPONENT HAS A ROLE IN RELATION TO THE OTHERS. THESE ARE DEVELOPMENTAL DYNAMICS THAT THE CHILD GOES THROUGH DURING CERTAIN PERIODS AND THROUGH WHICH HE BECOMES FAMILIAR WITH PEOPLE, OBJECTS AND EVENTS THAT IN TURN ENABLE HIM TO UNDERSTAND OTHERS OF GREATER COMPLEXITY OR DIFFICULTY. HOW CAN PSYCHOMOTRICITY CONTRIBUTE TO BODY-MIND BALANCE? TO WHAT EXTENT IS IT INDISPENSABLE TO A CHILD'S INTELLECTUAL FORMATION AND GROWTH? THE REFERENCE CONCEPTS ON THE EVOLUTION OF PSYCHOMOTRICITY ARISE FIRSTLY FROM THE EXAMINATION OF MOTILITY IN THE PRE- AND NEONATAL AGE AND, SECONDLY, FROM THE ANALYSIS OF PSYCHO-BODY EXPRESSION AND COMMUNICATION WITH THE AIM OF ULTIMATELY CLARIFYING THE AIMS OF PSYCHOMOTOR ACTION EVEN IN THE CASE OF PHYSIOLOGICAL DEFECTS.
