After a brief description of the main philosophical currents of medieval thought, the course will examine the most important classical topics which have been prepared by rational reflection to prove the existence of God. Following the basic conceptual approach found in some classic works of Augustine, will be explained specifically the way in which it was gradually built a systematic relationship between the philosophical monotheism and knowledge offered by the revelation of the eternal Truth of the Trinity.
