Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
Ci si attende che i laureati conseguano:
- competenza operativa ricettiva e produttiva rispondente ai livelli previsti per le due lingue di studio;
- conoscenza delle principali caratteristiche delle due lingue di studio , con eventuale riferimento anche ai linguaggi settoriali per le lingue europee;
- conoscenza delle principali problematiche traduttive;
- nozioni essenziali sulla natura del linguaggio umano e su metodi e strumenti per la descrizione delle lingue, nozioni relative a livelli di analisi e loro unità, classificazione tipologica delle lingue, meccanismi della comunicazione;
- conoscenza delle modalità con cui avviene il processo di apprendimento delle lingue straniere;
- possesso di un quadro essenziale dell'orizzonte romanzo/germanico/slavo nei suoi aspetti storico-linguistici e storico-letterari, e dei metodi filologici per il recupero e la ricostruzione dei testi;
- conoscenza degli autori e testi significativi della letteratura moderna relativa alle lingue di studio.
I suddetti risultati potranno essere raggiunti tramite modalità e strumenti didattici che variano in parte a seconda del settore disciplinare: a) nel settore delle lingue straniere, tramite lezioni, esercitazioni di lingua, laboratorio linguistico, laboratorio di analisi e di traduzione di testi; b) negli altri settori, lezioni, studio individuale; stesura di elaborati compilativi o originali (assignments).
Gli strumenti didattici utilizzati comprendono manuali di studio, testi o altri dati linguistici oggetto di analisi, e anche materiali audio e video nel caso soprattutto delle lingue straniere.
Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
Ci si attende che i laureati conseguano la capacità di dare concreta applicazione, sia nei contesti lavorativi specificati nel seguito di questo documento (v.
Sbocchi occupazionali e professionali previsti per i laureati), sia in altri ambiti personali e professionali, alle conoscenze, alle abilità e agli strumenti metodologici acquisiti durante la frequenza ai corsi e durante le attività di esercitazione pratica associate ai corsi delle discipline di studio.
In particolare, con riferimento alle conoscenze e capacità di comprensione di cui al punto precedente (Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione), ci si attende che i laureati che giungano a sapere:
- applicare le competenze ricettive e produttive raggiunte nelle lingue straniere, in contesti e funzioni di comunicazione e di scambio in ambienti internazionali di varia natura, legati alle problematiche dell'integrazione sociale;
- applicare le conoscenze di tipo storico, filologico, letterario e più in generale umanistico ai contesti di tipo culturale, finalizzati, alla divulgazione, all'intrattenimento, alla programmazione culturale e all'integrazione sociale e alla mediazione linguistica.
I suddetti risultati verranno raggiunti tramite modalità didattiche che variano in parte a seconda del settore disciplinare:
a) nel settore delle lingue straniere, tramite lezioni, esercitazioni di lingua, laboratorio linguistico, laboratorio di analisi e di traduzione di testi;
b) negli altri settori, tramite lezioni, studio individuale: stesura di elaborati compilativi o originali (assignments).
c) attraverso l'approccio a problematiche professionali e pedagogiche in apposite esperienze in realtà lavorative (‘altre' attività)
Autonomia di giudizio
Ci si attende che, attraverso la frequenza alle lezioni e alle esercitazioni delle varie discipline e attraverso la rielaborazione individuale i laureati conseguano la capacità di elaborare giudizi autonomi su questioni complesse.
In particolare, con riferimento al loro ambito di studi, ci si aspetta che divengano: capaci di interpretare alcuni dati nel campo delle lingue e delle tradizioni culturali e testuali straniere, nonché di utilizzare metodologie adeguate ad affrontare problematiche legate alle discipline oggetto di studio, anche in prospettiva applicata.Abilità comunicative
Ci si attende che i laureati conseguano le seguenti capacità:
- saper interagire oralmente nelle lingue straniere oggetto di studio secondo i livelli previsti
- saper esporre oralmente in modo sufficientemente chiaro e fluente informazioni e idee;
- saper svolgere oralmente attività come descrivere, argomentare, commentare, fare una presentazione, dare istruzioni;
- saper scrivere in modo sufficientemente chiaro ed organizzato testi relativi ai temi affrontati nei corsi;
- saper riassumere e commentare informazioni tratte da più fonti scritte;
- saper svolgere per iscritto attività come descrivere e argomentare.
I suddetti risultati verranno raggiunti tramite modalità didattiche che variano in parte a seconda del settore disciplinare:
a) nel settore delle lingue straniere, tramite lezioni, esercitazioni di lingua, laboratorio linguistico, laboratorio di analisi e di traduzione di testi;
b) negli altri settori, lezioni, compiti da svolgere (assignments), eventuali elaborati.
Gli strumenti didattici utilizzati comprendono libri di testo, testi o altri dati linguistici oggetto di analisi, e anche materiali audio e video nel caso delle lingue straniere.
Capacità di apprendimento
Ci si attende che grazie alle conoscenze dichiarative e procedurali acquisite durante le lezioni e le esercitazioni nelle discipline dei vari ambiti di studio, e in generale durante tutti i momenti della loro attività formativa, i laureati sviluppino capacità di apprendimento attraverso:
- strategie metacognitive (la riflessione sulla lingua e sul relativo processo di apprendimento);
- strategie cognitive (l'esplorazione dei differenti stili di apprendimento e la ricognizione dei bisogni individuali);
- strategie comunicative e sociali-affettive (con la pratica delle competenze raggiunte nelle L2).
Tali capacità e strategie consentiranno ai laureati di intraprendere studi successivi in modo almeno in parte autonomo, sia in questi stessi campi specifici che in altri ambiti disciplinari limitrofi.
Requisiti di ammissione
Per l'ammissione al corso di Laurea in Lingue e Mediazione linguistico-culturale sono richieste le conoscenze che sono comuni ai percorsi formativi della scuola secondaria.
Inoltre, sono richieste le seguenti ulteriori conoscenze che saranno verificate secondo modalità stabilite nel regolamento del corso di laurea:
- prima lingua: livello B1 - comprensione scritta
Gli eventuali obblighi formativi nel caso in cui la verifica non sia positiva e le modalità di recupero sono stabilite nel Regolamento Didattico.
Prova finale
La Laurea in Lingue e Mediazione linguistico-culturale si consegue previo superamento di una prova finale, che consiste nella presentazione e discussione di un elaborato scritto in una delle discipline previste nel piano di studio dello studente.
Le modalità relative alla tempistica, alla determinazione e preparazione dell'argomento della tesi, alla scelta del relatore, all'ammissione alla discussione dell'elaborato per la prova finale, e allo svolgimento della stessa, sono fissate con delibera dal corso di Laurea secondo le linee stabilite dalla Scuola di Lettere, Filosofia, Lingue.
Sbocchi occupazionali e professionali previsti per i laureati
Sbocchi professionali possibili per i laureati nel corso di Laurea in Lingue e Mediazione linguistico-culturale sono:
- operatori in contesti multilinguistici e multiculturali;
- attività di intermediazione linguistico-culturale tra le culture dell'Europa, e tra queste e quelle dell'Asia e
dell'Africa con particolare riferimento alle lingue di immigrazione;
- attività legate alla gestione di alcuni aspetti nell'ambito delle relazioni internazionali, sia in contesti privati e d'impresa, che in contesti istituzionali (pubblica amministrazione, enti locali, strutture del volontariato, ecc.);
- attività nell'ambito del turismo, dell'editoria, del giornalismo, delle istituzioni culturali e della comunicazione in Rete;
- attività in ambiti documentali.
I laureati del corso di Laurea in Lingue e Mediazione linguistico-culturale avranno la possibilità di accedere ad una Laurea Magistrale, secondo le disposizioni dei regolamenti ministeriali e delle singole facoltà, o ad un Master di primo livello secondo le normative dell'Ateneo che lo organizza.
Le attività obbligatorie del corso di Laurea sono finalizzate alla preparazione per l'accesso a Lauree Magistrali nelle seguenti classi:
° classe delle lauree in Lingue moderne per la Comunicazione internazionale - classe LM-38
° classe delle lauree in Linguistica - classe LM-39
Le attività a libera scelta permettono allo studente di migliorare la sua preparazione per l'accesso a queste Lauree, e Lauree Magistrali di altre classi.
Orientamento in ingresso
Le azioni di orientamento in ingresso sono improntate alla realizzazione di processi di raccordo con la scuola media secondaria.
Si concretizzano in attività di carattere informativo sui Corsi di Studio (CdS) dell’Ateneo ma anche come impegno condiviso da Scuola e Università per favorire lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza da parte degli studenti nel compiere scelte coerenti con le proprie conoscenze, competenze, attitudini e interessi.
Le attività promosse si articolano in:
a) seminari e attività formative realizzate in collaborazione con i docenti della scuola;
b) incontri e manifestazioni informative rivolte alle future matricole;
c) sviluppo di servizi on line per l’orientamento e l’auto-orientamento.
Tra le attività svolte in collaborazione con le scuole per lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza nella scelta, il “progetto di auto-orientamento” è un intervento significativo che consente di promuovere un raccordo particolarmente qualificato con alcune scuole medie superiori che insistono sul territorio limitrofo a Roma Tre.
Il progetto, infatti, è articolato in incontri svolti presso le scuole dagli esperti dell’Ufficio Orientamento con la collaborazione di studenti seniores ed è finalizzato a sollecitare nelle future matricole una riflessione sui propri punti di forza e sui criteri di scelta (gli incontri si svolgono nel periodo ottobre-dicembre).
La presentazione dell’offerta formativa agli studenti delle scuole superiori prevede tre eventi principali, distribuiti nel corso dell’anno accademico, ai quali partecipano tutti i CdS.
• Salone dello studente “Campus orienta”, si svolge presso la fiera di Roma fra ottobre e novembre e coinvolge tradizionalmente tutti gli Atenei del Lazio e molti Atenei fuori Regione, Enti pubblici e privati che si occupano di Formazione e Lavoro.
Roma Tre partecipa a questo evento con un proprio spazio espositivo e con conferenze di presentazione dell’offerta formativa dell’Ateneo.
• Le Giornate di Vita Universitaria (GVU) si svolgono ogni anno da gennaio a marzo e sono rivolte agli studenti degli ultimi due anni della scuola secondaria superiore.
Si svolgono in tutti i Dipartimenti dell’Ateneo e costituiscono una importante occasione per le future matricole per vivere la realtà universitaria.
Gli incontri sono strutturati in modo tale che accanto alla presentazione dei CdS, gli studenti possano anche fare un’esperienza diretta di vita universitaria con la partecipazione ad attività didattiche, laboratori, lezioni o seminari, alle quali partecipano anche studenti seniores che svolgono una significativa mediazione di tipo tutoriale.
Partecipano annualmente oltre 6.000 studenti delle secondarie.
• Orientarsi a Roma Tre rappresenta la manifestazione che chiude le annuali attività di orientamento in ingresso e si svolge in Ateneo a luglio di ogni anno.
L’evento accoglie mediamente circa 3.000 studenti romani e non solo, che partecipano per mettere definitivamente a fuoco la loro scelta universitaria.
Oltre all’offerta formativa sono presentati tutti i principali servizi di Roma Tre rivolti agli studenti e le segreterie didattiche sono a disposizione per tutte le informazioni relative alle pratiche di immatricolazione.
In tutte le manifestazioni di presentazione dell’offerta formativa, sono illustrati anche i vari servizi on line che possono aiutare gli studenti nella scelta: dai siti web dei Dipartimenti al sito del POS (Prove di Orientamento Simulate) che consente alle future matricole di autovalutarsi rispetto ai requisiti di accesso per tutti i CdS di Roma Tre.
Inoltre durante i suddetti incontri agli studenti viene presentato il sito web Orientarsi, un servizio pensato proprio in loro funzione, iscrivendosi al quale, possono ricevere sulla propria casella di posta elettronica, le informazioni relative ai CdS ai cui sono interessati e le informazioni di carattere pratico relative alle procedure amministrative di preiscrizione.
Infine, in tutte le manifestazioni che si svolgono in Ateneo sono somministrati ai partecipanti questionari di soddisfazione che vengono elaborati ed utilizzati per proporre miglioramenti all’organizzazione degli eventi.
Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il Corso di Studio in Mediazione linguistica (Classe di laurea L-12-Mediazione linguistica) è stato istituito nel 2008/2009 con l'intento di formare una figura professionale di mediatore linguistico in grado di rispondere alle nuove esigenze del mondo del lavoro.
Grazie ad un'offerta formativa ampia e diversificata (articolata in due curricula, Linguistica e Lingue Europee - LLE e Operatori della Comunicazione Interculturale - OCI), i laureati in Mediazione linguistica uniscono a solide competenze linguistiche, metalinguistiche e filologiche una formazione di base relativa agli ambiti storico-letterari, economico-giuridici e socio-antropologici.
Le lingue offerte nel Corso di Studio sono:
- lingua araba - lingua cinese - lingua francese - lingua inglese - lingua portoghese e brasiliana - lingua russa - lingua spagnola - lingua tedesca
Lo studio delle lingue è articolato in lezioni, esercitazioni e attività di laboratorio.
Qualificanti per la formazione degli studenti della laurea triennale sono le esperienze di tirocinio/stage svolte presso enti nazionali e internazionali convenzionati con l'università a tale scopo, in cui gli studenti cominciano ad utilizzare le competenze acquisite durante gli studi universitari anticipando il contatto con il mondo del lavoro.
È attiva una fitta rete di scambi con prestigiose università straniere nell'ambito dei programmi comunitari (Socrates - Erasmus) e di accordi extra-comunitari per l'approfondimento delle lingue araba (Université Européenne d'Été- Lione), cinese (varie Università della Cina Popolare e di Taiwan) e russa (Università statali di Mosca e S.
Pietroburgo).
Questa rete permette agli studenti di maturare esperienze di carattere internazionale necessarie per l'attività professionale che svolgeranno e consente confronti costruttivi con diverse realtà accademiche e con nuove forme di ricerca.
Sempre nell'ottica di contribuire ad una formazione culturale dinamica, il Corso di Studio si avvale anche di collaborazioni occasionali sul piano didattico di colleghi stranieri.
La risposta positiva degli studenti nel corso degli anni – con un elevato numero di iscritti al Corso di Studio, molti dei quali provenienti da regioni italiane diverse e da paesi europei ed extra-europei – ha reso necessario introdurre un sistema di regolamentazione delle immatricolazioni (numero programmato); pertanto, l'accesso al corso è subordinato al superamento di una prova volta a verificare il livello di conoscenza di una lingua comunitaria (livello B1 del “Quadro di riferimento europeo” elaborato dal Consiglio d'Europa).
Alla fine del triennio, gli studenti acquisiscono basi adeguate alla prosecuzione degli studi nella Laurea Magistrale in Lingue moderne per la comunicazione internazionale - classe LM 38 o all'accesso a un Master di primo livello.
Lo studente espliciterà le proprie scelte al momento della presentazione,
tramite il sistema informativo di ateneo, del piano di completamento o del piano di studio individuale,
secondo quanto stabilito dal regolamento didattico del corso di studio.

Students will develop a general knowledge of the literature and culture of Anglophone countries from the Victorian Age (1830) to the Twentieth Century. The course will introduce students to the most significant critical approaches of literary theory with particular emphasis on the specificities of literary language and on the intertextual, intermedial, intercultural aspects of a good range of literary texts. Students will develop an ability to critically engage with literary works and their cultural and historical contexts.
