Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
I laureati avranno:
i) conoscenze di base delle discipline matematico-statistiche, giuridiche, aziendali ed economiche che permetteranno loro di disporre degli strumenti per interpretare e descrivere i problemi di interesse negli ambiti caratterizzanti;
ii) competenze più avanzate ad ampio spettro nel campo dell'economia e delle discipline matematico-statistiche;
iii) conoscenze di contesto in settori più definiti, quali la teoria economica, la politica economica, le scelte pubbliche e il funzionamento del settore pubblico, il funzionamento del mercato del lavoro, la finanza, l'ambiente e lo sviluppo.
La struttura su tre livelli del corso di laurea (linguaggi di entrata, concetti e metodi caratterizzanti del corso di laurea, conoscenze e tecniche specifiche e integrative del percorso) nonché la ripartizione dei crediti formativi tra i diversi ambiti scientifico-disciplinari sono funzionali al raggiungimento di questo obiettivo.
Inoltre, saranno utilizzati manuali e altri tipi di supporti didattici di elevata e comprovata qualità, preferibilmente caratterizzati da diffusione internazionale.
La verifica del conseguimento delle conoscenze e delle capacità di comprensione attese avverà nell'ambito delle prove intermedie e finali, in forma sia di colloquio orale, che di prova scritta, previste per i singoli insegnamenti.Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
I laureati saranno in grado di applicare le conoscenze acquisite alla utile lettura di aspetti rilevanti della realtà economica, riuscendo a focalizzare le concatenazioni significative di fatti e di dati quantitativi.
Nell'ambito delle aree di interesse, i laureati saranno in grado di partecipare alla formazione di decisioni operative.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo gli insegnamenti del corso di laurea miscelano opportunamente la strumentazione logica con la sua applicazione a scenari, problemi e contesti differenziati, attraverso metodi didattici attivi quali analisi di casi, lettura, interpretazione e commento di dati, rapporti, materiali tratti dalla realtà economico-finanziaria.
L'acquisizione delle competenze attese viene verificata sia attraverso lo svolgimento delle esercitazioni e delle attività di laboratorio, previste all'interno di diversi insegnamenti, sia tramite la prova finale del corso di laurea, che ha come obbiettivo principale quello di mettere in luce la capacità di utilizzo degli strumenti di analisi economica resi disponibili dagli insegnamenti del corso di laurea.Autonomia di giudizio
I laureati avranno la capacità di usare in modo autonomo e critico gli strumenti metodologici e le conoscenze acquisite; di selezionare autonomamente le informazioni rilevanti per affrontare e gestire la complessità dei problemi a livello sia microeconomico sia macroeconomico; di giungere a valutazioni che includano riflessioni di tipo etico e sociale; di adattarsi ad ambiti di lavoro e tematiche diverse.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo si è cercato di sviluppare una conoscenza ampia, articolata e critica dei concetti e degli strumenti trattati.
A livello di struttura del corso di studio, pur tenendo conto della centralità dell'ambito economico (in considerazione degli obiettivi formativi della classe e del corso di laurea), si è fornita una composizione ragionevolmente equilibrata anche degli altri tre ambiti scientifico-disciplinari previsti dalla classe (aziendale, giuridico, matematico-statistico), in modo da favorire nello studente una visione interdisciplinare del tema trattato e da sensibilizzarlo alla necessità e utilità di utilizzare linguaggi e strumenti diversi per analizzarlo e valutarlo, adattando l'argomentazione alla particolare prospettiva assunta.
A livello di singolo insegnamento, si fornisce sui vari temi trattati un quadro sistematico e multilaterale dei diversi approcci di analisi, nonché la duplice prospettiva, teorica ed empirica, di analisi.Abilità comunicative
I laureati avranno la capacità di comunicare a interlocutori specialisti e non specialisti, in modo chiaro e privo di ambiguità, le conoscenze, lo stato del dibattito e le conclusioni raggiunte.
Avranno inoltre la capacità di interagire con altre persone anche di differente formazione e di condurre attività in collaborazione.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo si favorisce l'acquisizione nei diversi insegnamenti del linguaggio specialistico (per esempio con il riferimento anche a dati, rapporti, materiali, tratti dalla realtà economico-finanziaria) e il ricorso a forme di verifica che utilizzano sia l'esposizione orale che scritta, in particolar modo, anche nello svolgimento della prova finale.Capacità di apprendimento
I laureati avranno acquisito un metodo di studio, la capacità di lavorare per obiettivi e le abilità di apprendimento necessarie a intraprendere studi futuri con sufficiente grado di autonomia.
Tali abilità, congiuntamente con la solida preparazione acquisita, consentiranno loro anche di sviluppare l'apprendimento al livello più avanzato richiesto dai corsi di laurea magistrale.
Il raggiungimento di questo obiettivo è in realtà l'effetto della realizzazione di quelli precedenti.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo, gli studenti saranno guidati lungo percorsi formativi caratterizzati da un progressivo innalzamento del livello delle competenze e delle capacità analitiche e metodologiche richieste per l'acquisizione finale dei crediti formativi.
Verranno utilizzati strumenti di verifica intermedia e finale coerenti con il raggiungimento di questo obiettivo, utilizzando forme alternative e graduali di verifica dell'esperienza maturata, quali prove orali, prove scritte, test a risposta multipla, project work individuali e di gruppo, ecc.Requisiti di ammissione

Conoscenze comuni ai percorsi formativi della scuola secondaria superiore, attestate dal
conseguimento del diploma di scuola media superiore di durata quinquennale o titolo equipollente.
In particolare, è richiesta una buona cultura generale e una sufficiente attitudine al ragionamento
logico-analitico.
2.
Le studentesse e gli studenti che intendono immatricolarsi dovranno sostenere una prova di
ingresso obbligatoria, ma non selettiva.
La prova ha l’obiettivo di valutare le competenze di
carattere matematico, logico e di comprensione di testi.
Nel caso in cui la prova non dia esito
positivo, il regolamento didattico specifica le modalità per soddisfare gli obblighi formativi aggiuntivi (OFA) che ne risultano.
Prova finale
La laurea in Economia si consegue previo superamento di una prova finale, che consiste nella trattazione di un argomento scelto nell’ambito degli insegnamenti del corso di laurea, con taglio specifico o interdisciplinare, finalizzata a verificare capacità di integrazione delle conoscenze già possedute.
La prova finale rappresenta il completamento del percorso formativo.
Essa, pertanto, è concepita in modo da verificare, su un determinato argomento che sia rilevante per il corso di laurea e per il percorso scelto, il raggiungimento dei risultati di apprendimento attesi e in particolare: la capacità di comprensione, la capacità di applicazione a problemi e contesti differenti, la capacità di rielaborazione critica e argomentazione, la capacità di comunicazione.
Sono previste due modalità alternative di svolgimento della prova finale: a) presentazione di una tesina; b) svolgimento di una prova scritta.
In entrambi i casi, a tale prova finale sono attribuiti 3 CFU.
Orientamento in ingresso
Le azioni di orientamento in ingresso sono improntate alla realizzazione di processi di raccordo con la scuola media secondaria.
Si concretizzano sia in attività informative e di approfondimento dei caratteri formativi dei Corsi di Studio (CdS) dell'Ateneo, sia in un impegno condiviso da scuola e università per favorire lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza da parte degli studenti nel compiere scelte coerenti con le proprie conoscenze, competenze, attitudini e interessi.
Le attività promosse si articolano in:
a) incontri e manifestazioni rivolte alle future matricole;
b) sviluppo di servizi online e pubblicazione di guide sull'offerta formativa dei CdS.
L'attività di orientamento in ingresso prevede quattro principali attività, distribuite nel corso dell’anno accademico, alle quali partecipano tutti i Dipartimenti e i CdS:
- Giornate di Vita Universitaria (GVU), si svolgono ogni anno da dicembre a marzo e sono rivolte agli studenti degli ultimi due anni della scuola secondaria superiore.
Si svolgono in tutti i Dipartimenti dell'Ateneo e costituiscono un'importante occasione per le future matricole per vivere la realtà universitaria.
Gli incontri sono strutturati in modo tale che accanto alla presentazione dei Corsi di Laurea, gli studenti possano anche fare un'esperienza diretta di vita universitaria con la partecipazione ad attività didattiche, laboratori, lezioni o seminari, alle quali partecipano anche studenti seniores che svolgono una significativa mediazione di tipo tutoriale.
Partecipano annualmente circa 5.000 studenti;
- Autorientamento, un progetto sviluppato in collaborazione diretta con alcune scuole medie superiori per lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza nella scelta da parte degli studenti.
Il progetto, infatti, è articolato in incontri svolti presso le scuole ed è finalizzato a sollecitare nelle future matricole una riflessione sui propri punti di forza e sui criteri di scelta;
- Attività di orientamento sviluppate dai singoli Dipartimenti, mediante incontri in presenza e servizi online;
- Orientarsi a Roma Tre, rappresenta la manifestazione che riassume le annuali attività di orientamento in ingresso e si svolge in Ateneo a luglio di ogni anno.
L'evento accoglie, perlopiù, studenti romani che partecipano per mettere definitivamente a fuoco la loro scelta universitaria.
Durante la manifestazione viene presentata l'offerta formativa e sono presenti, con un proprio spazio, tutti i principali servizi di Roma Tre, le segreterie didattiche e la segreteria studenti.
I servizi di orientamento online messi a disposizione dei futuri studenti universitari sono nel tempo aumentati, tenendo conto dello sviluppo delle nuove opportunità di comunicazione tramite web.
Inoltre, durante tutte le manifestazioni di presentazione dell'offerta formativa, sono illustrati quei siti web di Dipartimento, di Ateneo, Portale dello studente, etc., che possono aiutare gli studenti nella loro scelta.
Infine, l'Ateneo valuta, di volta in volta, l'opportunità di partecipare ad ulteriori occasioni di orientamento in presenza ovvero online (Salone dello studente ed altre iniziative).Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il Corso di Laurea triennale in Economia è costruito per formare le studentesse e gli studenti alla comprensione e all'interpretazione critica del funzionamento dei sistemi economici e del modo di operare al loro interno di diversi soggetti: Istituzioni, Governo, Imprese, Famiglie e Individui.
Il corso fornisce gli strumenti per esaminare temi economici rilevanti.
Possiamo elencarne alcuni:
- Definire e misurare la povertà e le disuguaglianze
- Perché lo Stato interviene nell'economia e perché paghiamo le imposte
- La relazione tra attività economica e ambiente
- Perché alcuni paesi crescono molto e altri meno
- Perché esiste la disoccupazione e come porvi rimedio
- Le decisioni delle imprese circa i nuovi investimenti
- Da cosa dipendono le esportazioni di merci italiane all'estero
- Come funzionano i mercati finanziari
- Gli effetti della spesa pubblica e della tassazione su consumi e investimenti
Il Corso di Laurea in Economia prevede una formazione di base comune, rivolta allo studio di materie economiche, aziendali, statistico-matematiche e giuridiche, e si articola successivamente in sei percorsi, che approfondiscono aspetti rilevanti del funzionamento dei sistemi economici e sviluppano specifiche competenze utili nel mondo del lavoro.
Il Corso di Laurea in Economia comprende complessivamente 19 insegnamenti, 2 prove di idoneità (lingua inglese e informatica) e una prova finale.
Lo studente espliciterà le proprie scelte al momento della presentazione,
tramite il sistema informativo di ateneo, del piano di completamento o del piano di studio individuale,

In line with the educating objectives of the Degree Course in Economics, the Course of Business Economics aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and tools for understanding the structure and behaviors of economic and production systems, investigating the characteristics and purposes of the different types of entities. The Course also provides the basic tools for the recognition of the accounting aspects of ordinary business management, using the accrual basis of accounting. The course addresses these issues by providing students with a pluralistic and critical view. In fact, the fundamental elements of the two main approaches to value and distribution are presented and compared: the surplus or classical approach and the marginalist or neoclassical theory. The course deals with microeconomic and macroeconomic issues related to two main thematic areas. The first concerns the regional economy, with particular regard to economic dualism, the processes of convergence and mitigation of economic fluctuations applied to both the Italian and European contexts, to European cohesion policy. The second, focuses on market dynamics, industrial policy, the economy of digital markets; policies for innovation and technology transfer. The course includes practical applications using economic data. Students will become familiar with the consultation of some of the main national and international databases such as Eurostat, Istat, World Bank; OECD, as well as with the processing of data and the construction of economic indicators. The knowledge and skills acquired will make it possible to process, analyze and discuss the data within the reference economic context and within the framework of the relevant economic policies. Finally, students will acquire practical skills in the preparation of texts accompanied by data.

The aim of the course is to broaden and consolidate the acquisition of the mathematical method as a fundamental investigation tool for economic, financial and business disciplines. To this end, the course is divided into four parts. In the first part we provide notions of linear algebra to study linear systems and diagonalization of matrices. In the second part the student will be introduced to the study of differential calculus for functions of several variables. In the third part the course provides tools to recognize and study free and constrained optimization problems. In the fourth part solution methods for simple systems and differential equations will be provided.

GOALS of the course The course aims to reach the following goals: - to highlight the peculiariaties of the "Organization" as a field of study and the specialized studies of "Business Organization"; - to provide some essential cognitive elements for dealing with the study of organizational literature and its evolution; - to develop and to deepen the main thematic areas which, according to the distinction adopted in the mainstream approach, refer to the teaching of Business Organization, i.e. organizational design. In particular, the following organizational design choices will be analyzed in detail: work organization, work processes (intra-organizational relationships design), business structures, information systems and organizational boundaries (inter-organizational relationships design). - frame the problems of "personnel management" and "management of organizational change" (issues that are the subject of in-depth study in the teaching of organization of master's or graduate’s degree courses); - offer to students the opportunity to take advantage of tools for the analysis of the reality and to improve their ability to intervene on realities, tackling the study of both texts (produced by important authors of organizational theory) and business cases that highlight organizational issues and practices adopted for their resolution. The teaching will be addressed through traditional teaching methods (frontal lessons) useful for framing the complexity of the topics covered, accompanied by exercises, team and individual work carried out by the students, company testimonies and case analysis, aimed at presenting the student with the variety of concrete practices and to stimulate reflection on the articulation of the organizational choices to be faced.

The CLE-LAB 2024-25 edition is organized around the theme: the challenges of the Italian economy, which is addressed from various disciplinary perspectives. The objective of the course is to provide the necessary tools to understand the main characteristics of the structure of the Italian economy, its evolution in the medium to long term, and its future prospects.
Students will attend 10 seminar-lectures for a total of 20 hours (mandatory attendance), with one lesson per week, during the first semester (October-December 2024). The course theme will be addressed in the following areas:
The figures of the Italian economy, the role of statistics;
The characteristics of the productive structure and the development model followed by Italy, its positioning in the international economy;
Macroeconomic policies, with particular attention to the European context;
Institutions, the budgeting process, and public finance decisions.
The course also includes bibliographic information seminars, to equip students with the ability to correctly use the resources available in the library for research and writing papers.

The course deals with microeconomic and macroeconomic issues related to two main thematic areas. The first concerns the regional economy, with particular regard to economic dualism, the processes of convergence and mitigation of economic fluctuations applied to both the Italian and European contexts, to European cohesion policy. The second, focuses on market dynamics, industrial policy, the economy of digital markets; policies for innovation and technology transfer. The course includes practical applications using economic data. Students will become familiar with the consultation of some of the main national and international databases such as Eurostat, Istat, World Bank; OECD, as well as with the processing of data and the construction of economic indicators. The knowledge and skills acquired will make it possible to process, analyze and discuss the data within the reference economic context and within the framework of the relevant economic policies. Finally, students will acquire practical skills in the preparation of texts accompanied by data.

Knowledge and understanding The purpose of this course is to provide students with a deeper understanding of markets functioning and regulation from an economic perspective in order to stimulate critical understanding of policy implications from the public side and strategic behaviour from the firms’ side.
Applying knowledge and understanding Acquired knowledge and skills will enable students to understand and analyse markets functioning within the real economic context with a particular focus on non competitive markets: mainly monopolistic and oligopolistic markets.
Making judgements The understanding of economic agents’ decision making processes and of non competitive markets’ functioning will enable students to critically analyse the economic reality and the policy makers intervention in terms of markets regulation (deregulation) ad antitrust.

Monetary theory, institutions and policy

The first module (30 hours) of the course aims to provide students with the tools needed to understand the functioning of monetary economy and the operative aspects of Central Bank monetary policies. It explains what money is, the debate on its origins, the different approaches to the determinants of the demand for money and its supply, monetary policy instruments and equilibrium in the assets markets. The lectures of this first module will be held in Italian. The second module (30 hours) concentrates on the relations between money, prices and outputs in the long and short run. It also analyses the debate on rules and discretion in monetary policies, the Taylor rule and the sustainability of public debt. These themes are developed according to both a traditional and heterodox approach. A knowledge of basic microeconomic and macroeconomic notions is a prerequisite for this second module.

The aim of the course is to present the main themes of international monetary macroeconomics. The course starts by laying out the way in which international relations are recorded in national accounts and balance of payments. In this way the course provides a framework for understanding the consequences for a country of running large current account surpluses or deficits. The course then focuses on different theories of the determination of the exchange rates. It also discusses the effects on the real economy and on the price levels of the commercial and financial relations of a country with the rest of the world. The institutional set-up of the euro area will be presented in relation to the theories considered, emphasizing Its peculiarities with respect to the theoretical debates about the alternative between fixed and flexible exchange rates and about the question of the optimal currency areas. All the topics will be analyzed trying to highlight the differences underlying the main theoretical models. The main official documents and economic reports published by national and international institutions on our country's international relations will also be analyzed. The material covered is not mathematically complex, but it is taught in a formal and rigorous manner, which assumes a good familiarity with basic economic concepts.

FINANCIAL REPORTING ANALYSIS
(objectives)
The teaching focuses on the general guidelines of the EU and national regulatory framework aimed at protecting the rights of consumers and users. The course aims to provide the students with the skills to grasp the problems which may arise before consumers and users of public and private services, so as to correctly frame them in their essential legal elements and possibly identify the tools for their solution. It will be mainly seminarial and will be conducted through a constant examination of EU and Italian regulatory texts, as well as the analysis of the most relevant judgments pronounced by the EU Court of Justice, by the Italian Court of Cassation and by the relevant Courts. Attending students will receive special in-depth didactic material relating to the topics covered. At the end of the course, students are expected to have: - ability to examine and interpret sources, organization and regulations; - knowledge and understanding of the basic and sectoral legal rules governing the wide-ranging protection of the consumer; - ability to trace, among the rules of consumer law, those suitable for providing the solution of a concrete case; - the acquisition of a method which allows the student to orient himself/herself, within the legal system, in the search for the most suitable tools to address issues and problems not previously addressed, through the process of empowering the interpreter.

The course has two aims: to foster the ability to interpret economic systems and their tendencies through the main economic statistics produced by the official organizations and to introduce the basic methods to analyse economic data. In particular the course covers the production of economic indicators, the basic of classical time series analysis, also to correctly perform a short-term analysis, the linear regression model and its generalizations.Theoretical concepts will be illustrated using the most recent Italian economic data. The statistical analysis will be done using the software R.

In the second part the student will be introduced to the study of differential calculus for functions of several variables. In the third part the course provides tools to recognize and study free and constrained optimization problems. In the fourth part solution methods for simple systems and differential equations will be provided.

INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS
(objectives)
The aim of the course is to present the main themes of international monetary macroeconomics. The course starts by laying out the way in which international relations are recorded in national accounts and balance of payments. In this way the course provides a framework for understanding the consequences for a country of running large current account surpluses or deficits. The course then focuses on different theories of the determination of the exchange rates. It also discusses the effects on the real economy and on the price levels of the commercial and financial relations of a country with the rest of the world. The institutional set-up of the euro area will be presented in relation to the theories considered, emphasizing Its peculiarities with respect to the theoretical debates about the alternative between fixed and flexible exchange rates and about the question of the optimal currency areas. All the topics will be analyzed trying to highlight the differences underlying the main theoretical models. The main official documents and economic reports published by national and international institutions on our country's international relations will also be analyzed. The material covered is not mathematically complex, but it is taught in a formal and rigorous manner, which assumes a good familiarity with basic economic concepts.

GOALS of the course The course aims to reach the following goals: - to highlight the peculiariaties of the "Organization" as a field of study and the specialized studies of "Business Organization"; - to provide some essential cognitive elements for dealing with the study of organizational literature and its evolution; - to develop and to deepen the main thematic areas which, according to the distinction adopted in the mainstream approach, refer to the teaching of Business Organization, i.e. organizational design. In particular, the following organizational design choices will be analyzed in detail: work organization, work processes (intra-organizational relationships design), business structures, information systems and organizational boundaries (inter-organizational relationships design). - frame the problems of "personnel management" and "management of organizational change" (issues that are the subject of in-depth study in the teaching of organization of master's or graduate’s degree courses); - offer to students the opportunity to take advantage of tools for the analysis of the reality and to improve their ability to intervene on realities, tackling the study of both texts (produced by important authors of organizational theory) and business cases that highlight organizational issues and practices adopted for their resolution. (objectives)
The CLE-LAB 2024-25 edition is organized around the theme: the challenges of the Italian economy, which is addressed from various disciplinary perspectives. The objective of the course is to provide the necessary tools to understand the main characteristics of the structure of the Italian economy, its evolution in the medium to long term, and its future prospects.
Students will attend 10 seminar-lectures for a total of 20 hours (mandatory attendance), with one lesson per week, during the first semester (October-December 2024). The course theme will be addressed in the following areas:
The figures of the Italian economy, the role of statistics;
The characteristics of the productive structure and the development model followed by Italy, its positioning in the international economy;
Macroeconomic policies, with particular attention to the European context;
Institutions, the budgeting process, and public finance decisions.
The course also includes bibliographic information seminars, to equip students with the ability to correctly use the resources available in the library for research and writing papers.

Knowledge and understanding The purpose of this course is to provide students with a deeper understanding of markets functioning and regulation from an economic perspective in order to stimulate critical understanding of policy implications from the public side and strategic behaviour from the firms’ side.
Applying knowledge and understanding Acquired knowledge and skills will enable students to understand and analyse markets functioning within the real economic context with a particular focus on non competitive markets: mainly monopolistic and oligopolistic markets.
Making judgements The understanding of economic agents’ decision making processes and of non competitive markets’ functioning will enable students to critically analyse the economic reality and the policy makers intervention in terms of markets regulation (deregulation) ad antitrust.

Monetary theory, institutions and policy

The first module (30 hours) of the course aims to provide students with the tools needed to understand the functioning of monetary economy and the operative aspects of Central Bank monetary policies. It explains what money is, the debate on its origins, the different approaches to the determinants of the demand for money and its supply, monetary policy instruments and equilibrium in the assets markets. The lectures of this first module will be held in Italian. The second module (30 hours) concentrates on the relations between money, prices and outputs in the long and short run. It also analyses the debate on rules and discretion in monetary policies, the Taylor rule and the sustainability of public debt. These themes are developed according to both a traditional and heterodox approach. A knowledge of basic microeconomic and macroeconomic notions is a prerequisite for this second module.

The aim of the course is to present the main themes of international monetary macroeconomics. The course starts by laying out the way in which international relations are recorded in national accounts and balance of payments. In this way the course provides a framework for understanding the consequences for a country of running large current account surpluses or deficits. The course then focuses on different theories of the determination of the exchange rates. It also discusses the effects on the real economy and on the price levels of the commercial and financial relations of a country with the rest of the world. The institutional set-up of the euro area will be presented in relation to the theories considered, emphasizing Its peculiarities with respect to the theoretical debates about the alternative between fixed and flexible exchange rates and about the question of the optimal currency areas. All the topics will be analyzed trying to highlight the differences underlying the main theoretical models. The main official documents and economic reports published by national and international institutions on our country's international relations will also be analyzed. The material covered is not mathematically complex, but it is taught in a formal and rigorous manner, which assumes a good familiarity with basic economic concepts.

The CLE-LAB 2024-25 edition is organized around the theme: the challenges of the Italian economy, which is addressed from various disciplinary perspectives. The objective of the course is to provide the necessary tools to understand the main characteristics of the structure of the Italian economy, its evolution in the medium to long term, and its future prospects.
Students will attend 10 seminar-lectures for a total of 20 hours (mandatory attendance), with one lesson per week, during the first semester (October-December 2024). The course theme will be addressed in the following areas:
The figures of the Italian economy, the role of statistics;
The characteristics of the productive structure and the development model followed by Italy, its positioning in the international economy;
Macroeconomic policies, with particular attention to the European context;
Institutions, the budgeting process, and public finance decisions.
The course also includes bibliographic information seminars, to equip students with the ability to correctly use the resources available in the library for research and writing papers.

The course deals with microeconomic and macroeconomic issues related to two main thematic areas. The first concerns the regional economy, with particular regard to economic dualism, the processes of convergence and mitigation of economic fluctuations applied to both the Italian and European contexts, to European cohesion policy. The second, focuses on market dynamics, industrial policy, the economy of digital markets; policies for innovation and technology transfer. The course includes practical applications using economic data. Students will become familiar with the consultation of some of the main national and international databases such as Eurostat, Istat, World Bank; OECD, as well as with the processing of data and the construction of economic indicators. The knowledge and skills acquired will make it possible to process, analyze and discuss the data within the reference economic context and within the framework of the relevant economic policies. The teaching focuses on the general guidelines of the EU and national regulatory framework aimed at protecting the rights of consumers and users. The course aims to provide the students with the skills to grasp the problems which may arise before consumers and users of public and private services, so as to correctly frame them in their essential legal elements and possibly identify the tools for their solution. It will be mainly seminarial and will be conducted through a constant examination of EU and Italian regulatory texts, as well as the analysis of the most relevant judgments pronounced by the EU Court of Justice, by the Italian Court of Cassation and by the relevant Courts. Attending students will receive special in-depth didactic material relating to the topics covered. The aim of the course is to present the main themes of international monetary macroeconomics. The course starts by laying out the way in which international relations are recorded in national accounts and balance of payments. In this way the course provides a framework for understanding the consequences for a country of running large current account surpluses or deficits. The course then focuses on different theories of the determination of the exchange rates. It also discusses the effects on the real economy and on the price levels of the commercial and financial relations of a country with the rest of the world. The institutional set-up of the euro area will be presented in relation to the theories considered, emphasizing Its peculiarities with respect to the theoretical debates about the alternative between fixed and flexible exchange rates and about the question of the optimal currency areas. All the topics will be analyzed trying to highlight the differences underlying the main theoretical models. The main official documents and economic reports published by national and international institutions on our country's international relations will also be analyzed. The material covered is not mathematically complex, but it is taught in a formal and rigorous manner, which assumes a good familiarity with basic economic concepts.

The first module (30 hours) of the course aims to provide students with the tools needed to understand the functioning of monetary economy and the operative aspects of Central Bank monetary policies. It explains what money is, the debate on its origins, the different approaches to the determinants of the demand for money and its supply, monetary policy instruments and equilibrium in the assets markets. The lectures of this first module will be held in Italian. The second module (30 hours) concentrates on the relations between money, prices and outputs in the long and short run. It also analyses the debate on rules and discretion in monetary policies, the Taylor rule and the sustainability of public debt. These themes are developed according to both a traditional and heterodox approach. A knowledge of basic microeconomic and macroeconomic notions is a prerequisite for this second module.

The CLE-LAB 2024-25 edition is organized around the theme: the challenges of the Italian economy, which is addressed from various disciplinary perspectives. The objective of the course is to provide the necessary tools to understand the main characteristics of the structure of the Italian economy, its evolution in the medium to long term, and its future prospects.
Students will attend 10 seminar-lectures for a total of 20 hours (mandatory attendance), with one lesson per week, during the first semester (October-December 2024). The course theme will be addressed in the following areas:
The figures of the Italian economy, the role of statistics;
The characteristics of the productive structure and the development model followed by Italy, its positioning in the international economy;
Macroeconomic policies, with particular attention to the European context;
Institutions, the budgeting process, and public finance decisions.
The course also includes bibliographic information seminars, to equip students with the ability to correctly use the resources available in the library for research and writing papers.

Knowledge and understanding The purpose of this course is to provide students with a deeper understanding of markets functioning and regulation from an economic perspective in order to stimulate critical understanding of policy implications from the public side and strategic behaviour from the firms’ side.
Applying knowledge and understanding Acquired knowledge and skills will enable students to understand and analyse markets functioning within the real economic context with a particular focus on non competitive markets: mainly monopolistic and oligopolistic markets.
Making judgements The understanding of economic agents’ decision making processes and of non competitive markets’ functioning will enable students to critically analyse the economic reality and the policy makers intervention in terms of markets regulation (deregulation) ad antitrust.

Special emphasis is posed on economic applications. The first module (30 hours) of the course aims to provide students with the tools needed to understand the functioning of monetary economy and the operative aspects of Central Bank monetary policies. It explains what money is, the debate on its origins, the different approaches to the determinants of the demand for money and its supply, monetary policy instruments and equilibrium in the assets markets. The lectures of this first module will be held in Italian. The second module (30 hours) concentrates on the relations between money, prices and outputs in the long and short run. It also analyses the debate on rules and discretion in monetary policies, the Taylor rule and the sustainability of public debt. These themes are developed according to both a traditional and heterodox approach. A knowledge of basic microeconomic and macroeconomic notions is a prerequisite for this second module.

The course will highlight the macro and microeconomic peculiarities of the labor market. It will analyze the determinants of the level of employment and its composition, the relationship between unemployment and the rate of inflation, the determinants of the wage rate and wage differentials, the relationship between wages and labour productivity. As regards the recent evolutionary phenomena of the labour market, the course aims to analyze their quantitative and qualitative aspects and the implications for economic policy. In particular, it will focus on the evolution of the employment structure and labour underemployment, on full employment policies, on welfare systems, and on income support measures.

The aim of the course is to present the main themes of international monetary macroeconomics. The course starts by laying out the way in which international relations are recorded in national accounts and balance of payments. In this way the course provides a framework for understanding the consequences for a country of running large current account surpluses or deficits. The course then focuses on different theories of the determination of the exchange rates. It also discusses the effects on the real economy and on the price levels of the commercial and financial relations of a country with the rest of the world. The institutional set-up of the euro area will be presented in relation to the theories considered, emphasizing Its peculiarities with respect to the theoretical debates about the alternative between fixed and flexible exchange rates and about the question of the optimal currency areas. All the topics will be analyzed trying to highlight the differences underlying the main theoretical models. The main official documents and economic reports published by national and international institutions on our country's international relations will also be analyzed. The material covered is not mathematically complex, but it is taught in a formal and rigorous manner, which assumes a good familiarity with basic economic concepts.

The CLE-LAB 2024-25 edition is organized around the theme: the challenges of the Italian economy, which is addressed from various disciplinary perspectives. The objective of the course is to provide the necessary tools to understand the main characteristics of the structure of the Italian economy, its evolution in the medium to long term, and its future prospects.
Students will attend 10 seminar-lectures for a total of 20 hours (mandatory attendance), with one lesson per week, during the first semester (October-December 2024). The course theme will be addressed in the following areas:
The figures of the Italian economy, the role of statistics;
The characteristics of the productive structure and the development model followed by Italy, its positioning in the international economy;
Macroeconomic policies, with particular attention to the European context;
Institutions, the budgeting process, and public finance decisions.
The course also includes bibliographic information seminars, to equip students with the ability to correctly use the resources available in the library for research and writing papers.

The course deals with microeconomic and macroeconomic issues related to two main thematic areas. The first concerns the regional economy, with particular regard to economic dualism, the processes of convergence and mitigation of economic fluctuations applied to both the Italian and European contexts, to European cohesion policy. The second, focuses on market dynamics, industrial policy, the economy of digital markets; policies for innovation and technology transfer. The course includes practical applications using economic data. Students will become familiar with the consultation of some of the main national and international databases such as Eurostat, Istat, World Bank; OECD, as well as with the processing of data and the construction of economic indicators. The knowledge and skills acquired will make it possible to process, analyze and discuss the data within the reference economic context and within the framework of the relevant economic policies. The course aims to dive into the analytical logics and methodologies and into the cost determination tools in the production companies. The different elements of production costs are analyzed, together with the problems inherent with their detection and their use in decision-making processes, with the aim of pursuing the company’s economic and financial balance trend.
The student will be guided in the world of analytical accounting, through the analysis of costs, revenues and margins for several reference matters that are significant for the management: productions, phases, activities, responsibility centers, areas, customers, business.
In the training course different methodologies will be explored, applied to the various cognitive aims of the management, as well as to give an answer to its decision-making needs: efficiency, productivity, pricing, strategic variations, formal accountability, utility decisions.
The student will be able to elaborate on the different methodologies such as full costing, direct costing, advanced direct costing, activity based costing, differential analysis.

The aim of the course is to present the main themes of international monetary macroeconomics. The course starts by laying out the way in which international relations are recorded in national accounts and balance of payments. In this way the course provides a framework for understanding the consequences for a country of running large current account surpluses or deficits. The course then focuses on different theories of the determination of the exchange rates. It also discusses the effects on the real economy and on the price levels of the commercial and financial relations of a country with the rest of the world. The institutional set-up of the euro area will be presented in relation to the theories considered, emphasizing Its peculiarities with respect to the theoretical debates about the alternative between fixed and flexible exchange rates and about the question of the optimal currency areas. All the topics will be analyzed trying to highlight the differences underlying the main theoretical models. The main official documents and economic reports published by national and international institutions on our country's international relations will also be analyzed. The material covered is not mathematically complex, but it is taught in a formal and rigorous manner, which assumes a good familiarity with basic economic concepts.

The course considers the analysis of cultural economics. To this aim, the main economic theoretical foundations are presented jointly with the fundamental practical issues of cultural economics. In particular, the analysis of consumers preferences and utility typical of cultural economics is carried out. The course analyses the definition and concept of cultural capital, and cultural sustainability. In this respect the role of externalities and public goods, and the phenomena of the cost disease are analyzed both theoretically and empirically. Moreover, the role of intellectual property rights and specific analyses of museums, cultural heritage, auction for arts, are analyzed.

CLE-LAB
(objectives)
The CLE-LAB 2024-25 edition is organized around the theme: the challenges of the Italian economy, which is addressed from various disciplinary perspectives. The objective of the course is to provide the necessary tools to understand the main characteristics of the structure of the Italian economy, its evolution in the medium to long term, and its future prospects.
Students will attend 10 seminar-lectures for a total of 20 hours (mandatory attendance), with one lesson per week, during the first semester (October-December 2024). The course theme will be addressed in the following areas:
The figures of the Italian economy, the role of statistics;
The characteristics of the productive structure and the development model followed by Italy, its positioning in the international economy;
Macroeconomic policies, with particular attention to the European context;
Institutions, the budgeting process, and public finance decisions.
The course also includes bibliographic information seminars, to equip students with the ability to correctly use the resources available in the library for research and writing papers.

This course aims to provide a basic understanding of the principle features of the transformational processes within international economics from the first industrial revolution to modern times, with particular attention for the Italian economy between the post-Second World War and contemporary periods. At the end of the course, students must: - possess a basic understanding of the chronology and nature of the development of European industrialized economies as well as that of their principle non-European counterparts from the end of the eighteenth century to the twentieth; - be able to describe the historical and comparative contexts of the principle contemporary economic systems; - be able to present the knowledge they have acquired using the correct terminology and concepts pertaining to the Economic history.

Diritto dei beni culturali
(objectives)
The course offers knowledge of the legal discipline of cultural heritage in the Italian legal system, without neglecting the necessary framework of European Union law and of the main international conventions gradually adopted on the subject. The goal is in fact to highlight the trends and the main legal challenges that globalisation imposes in the protection of the national cultural heritage.
Given the definition of the concept of "cultural heritage" and other related notions, the course illustrates the evolution of the legislation on the subject and explores, in the light of the constitutional principles and the Code of cultural heritage and landscape, the aspects relating to the proprietary regime cultural heritage, the administrative organisation, the division of competences between the State, regions and local authorities, the relations between public authorities and private entities, the functions of protection, enhancement, management and use, the circulation of cultural heritage at national level, European and international.

Through direct contact with realities of artistic and cultural sectors and industries, students will learn the tools available in these fields, and will learn to use the principles of marketing to improve the market performances. At the end of the course students will: 1) share the language of a marketing director of artistic and cultural institutions; 2) learn a working method to solve the classic problems of strategic and operational marketing of artistic and cultural institutions; 3) develop the typical skills of problem solving, team work and public presentations.
