CONSTRUCTIONS IN SEISMIC ZONES
(objectives)
Bases for design of structures in seismic areas are given. The course consists of a theoretical part in which main aspects of dynamic response and seismic design of different materials and structural typologies are given including an overview of national and international Codes for design. Furthermore a practical application for the design of a structure: a building or a simple structure, is carried out by the students for the entire period of the course. A modulus on seismology is a further essential part of the course.
