The teaching of Philology 1, linked to the first language, is part of the basic training activities of "General and Applied Philology and Linguistics" of the degree course in Languages and Linguistic Mediation-Cultural, specifically activities aimed at providing the tools for analysis and theoretical reflection proper to philology, as well as knowledge of cultural heritage, specifically literary and philological, related to the foreign language. The course aims to provide a clear and sufficiently thorough picture of the novel cultural horizon/ Germanic in its historical-linguistic and historical-literary aspects, and the processes through which the ways were determined, the forms and conventions of the relevant tradition. Knowledge of peculiar linguistic and literary elements in relation to basic cultural situations. Knowledge and understanding of the correct methodological norms in order to recover or reconstruct the genuine form of texts. Expected learning outcomes: students will have a sufficiently in-depth knowledge of the historical-linguistic and historical-literary aspects of the novel/Germanic cultural horizon and the ways and conventions of its tradition; will know the specific elements relating to basic cultural situations; they will know and will include rules for the recovery and reconstruction of the genuine forms of the texts.

One of the general objectives of the cds is the acquisition of competence in two foreign languages, which is based on the development of the four active and passive written-oral skills, for the study of intercultural and transcultural phenomena through the tools and methodologies of linguistic and philological analysis, as well as translation theory and practice.
The teaching of Language and Translation - German Language I is one of the training activities characterizing the sector "Languages and Translation" and aims at the objective described above. The course aims to provide the student with the language skills level A2 (according to the CEFR) and the linguistic-argumentative strategies in the language. It also aims to develop the ability to reflect on the phonological and morphological structures of contemporary German, as well as on the spelling system and its history.
The student will be able to: put into practice the linguistic and communicative skills (active, passive and mixed) acquired; start a reflection of a metalinguistic character; also possess an initial intercultural competence.

The teaching of Philosophy of Science is part of the formative activities characterizing cds in Philosophy. The course is an introduction to the central themes and problems of the philosophy of science. Among these students and students will acquire the fundamental features of empirical research methodology through the study of the nature of scientific explanation, the laws of nature, the relationship between hypothesis and observational evidence and the question of scientific realism in the light of the historical change of theories. These general themes will be introduced by making direct reference to the philosophical topics discussed in the texts of some classical authors of the philosophy of science of the twentieth century, thus trying to create the necessary skills to evaluate and formulate in a rigorous philosophical thesis. The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in discussion and argumentation both in a theoretical perspective and in a historical-philosophical perspective. At the end of the course the student will have acquired: -) ability to analyse and interpret philosophical texts; -) language and argumentative properties; -) ability to contextualise the knowledge learned in the field of philosophical debate.

The course of History of Philosophy is a basic course of the cds in Philosophy and has the following educational objectives: 1. develop knowledge of the most important concepts and authors of modern and contemporary philosophy (Leibniz, Kant, Husserl); 2. promote understanding of the historical and cultural contexts in which these concepts were formed; 3. develop the ability to apply methods of analysis and historical-philosophical knowledge in research work prior to the conduct of the final test; 4. promote learning skills and judgement.
