Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
Attraverso corsi di natura specialistica che, poggiando sulle conoscenze di base, puntano ad una accurato approfondimento tematico e disciplinare il corso di laurea magistrale è finalizzato al conseguimento di competenze avanzate e specifiche nei contenuti e nelle metodologie delle scienze storiche, nonché nelle tecniche e negli strumenti della ricerca, nell'analisi e nell'utilizzo critico delle fonti storiche (narrative, documentarie, iconografiche, materiali, digitali); Ottenere una conoscenza dettagliata e specialistica di uno o più periodi o tematiche disciplinari; Acquisire un'aggiornata formazione di carattere interdisciplinare, in grado di interagire con le scienze umane e sociali, sviluppando capacità di integrazione in gruppi di studio e di lavoro di carattere multidisciplinare e multitasking, e sfruttando le acquisite abilità critiche, analitiche e organizzative nella risoluzione dei problemi.
Tali risultati vengono acquisiti attraverso la specificazione di un certo numero di crediti attribuiti agli ambiti delle discipline della comunicazione, linguistiche,storico-culturali, storico-filosofiche, storico-documentarie, storico-geografico-ambientali e delle scienze sociali.Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
Mediante laboratori offerti dalle strutture accademiche e tirocini volti all'esterno, gli studenti potranno apprendere le modalità di applicazione, nei relativi contesti lavorativi,della promozione e della partecipazione attiva alla gestione di luoghi e strumenti (archivi, biblioteche, musei, fonoteche, videoteche, ecc.) per la conservazione, la fruibilità e la comunicazione della memoria e del patrimonio storico.
Il corso si propone inoltre di mettere in grado gli studenti di accedere ai percorsi previsti dalle normative ministeriali per l' abilitazione all'insegnamento nella scuola secondaria superiore.Autonomia di giudizio
Con corsi organizzati in modalità seminariale e sviluppati in gruppi di lavoro e ricerca, si punta a fare in modo che gli studenti siano in grado di applicare le conoscenze e gestire la complessità, nonché di formulare giudizi sulla base di informazioni limitate o incomplete nella costruzione e la diffusione della conoscenza e dei saperi storici, attraverso l'utilizzo dei diversi stili e linguaggi della comunicazione storica anche come esperti nel campo dell'informazione, dell'editoria, dello spettacolo e della promozione di eventi culturali, nello studio delle relazioni internazionali e delle politiche volte a favorire la costruzione della pace e nel rapporto tra società e ambiente.
Abilità comunicative
Con periodiche verifiche delle attività di laboratorio, seminariali, e dei gruppi di ricerca verrà valutata la capacità di comunicare in modo chiaro e privo di ambiguità le loro conclusioni, nonché le conoscenze e la ratio ad esse sottese a interlocutori specialisti e non specialisti, utilizzando fluentemente, in forma scritta e orale, oltre all'italiano, una lingua straniera dell'Unione Europea, con riferimento soprattutto ai lessici disciplinari (anche attraverso l'erogazione di corsi in lingua); si verificherà in tal senso anche il possesso delle abilità necessarie a comunicare in modo chiaro le conclusioni del proprio lavoro di analisi e di ricerca in forma orale e scritta.
Verrà verificata anche l'abilità nell'uso dei principali strumenti informatici e della comunicazione telematica negli ambiti specifici di competenza.Capacità di apprendimento
Durante il percorso di studi, mediante opportuni momenti id verifica, si accerterà che gli studenti abbiano sviluppato delle capacità di apprendimento che consentano loro di continuare a studiare per lo più in modo auto-diretto o autonomo.Requisiti di ammissione
In tutti i casi lo studente che ha effettuato la preiscrizione deve sostenere un colloquio con un membro del Corso di studi in Scienze Storiche, al fine di una verifica della personale preparazione e per un accertamento di eventuali carenze formative.
Per l'ammissione al corso di Laurea Magistrale in Storia e società sono richieste le conoscenze corrispondenti al possesso di una Laurea nonché quelle conoscenze che permettono di intraprendere con successo un percorso formativo secondo questo ordinamento.
L'accertamento è compiuto secondo modalità definite dal Regolamento del corso di Laurea Magistrale.
Prova finale
La Laurea Magistrale in Storia e società si consegue previo superamento di una prova finale che consiste nella presentazione e discussione di una tesi elaborata in forma originale dallo studente sotto la guida di un relatore e sottoposta, in sede di discussione, all'esame critico di un correlatore, nell'ambito di uno dei settori scientifico-disciplinari presenti nell'ordinamento del corso di Laurea per il quale siano previsti insegnamenti nel regolamento del corso di Laurea Magistrale.
Per la determinazione dell'argomento della tesi, lo studente deve aver conseguito almeno 30 CFU.
Le modalità per la determinazione e la preparazione dell'argomento della tesi nonché per la scelta del relatore sono fissate nel Regolamento del corso di Laurea Magistrale secondo le linee stabilite dal Consiglio di Dipartimento.
Per essere ammesso alla discussione dell'elaborato per la prova finale, che porta all'acquisizione di 30 crediti, lo studente deve aver conseguito 90 crediti.
Le modalità dello svolgimento della prova finale sono fissate nel Regolamento del corso di Laurea Magistrale secondo le linee stabilite dal Consiglio di Dipartimento.Sbocchi occupazionali e professionali previsti per i laureati
L'articolazione dei profili formativi e curriculari così strutturati permette un inserimento polidirezionale nel mondo del lavoro.
Gli sbocchi professionali previsti direttamente per i laureati nel corso di Laurea Magistrale in Storia e società permettono di:
-Ricoprire ruoli qualificati nella pubblica amministrazione e nell'insegnamento; nelle associazioni o enti (pubblici e privati) che operano nel sociale; nelle istituzioni e organizzazioni attive sul terreno della politica, della cultura, della valorizzazione e diffusione della conoscenza storica; nella gestione e promozione dei luoghi dedicati alla conservazione della memoria;
- Offrire specifiche competenze nel mondo dell'informazione e della comunicazione, nel giornalismo politico, parlamentare e d'opinione, e nell'organizzazione di eventi culturali;
- Esercitare funzioni di elevata responsabilità in istituzioni ed aziende private che operano nel campo internazionale, nonché in organizzazioni pubbliche e private; in specifici ambiti della cooperazione internazionale, in particolare in quelli culturali, religiosi, sociali e della tutela dei diritti umani anche nel quadro delle attività svolte da Organizzazioni non governative; in centri di ricerca pubblici e privati; in istituzioni governative e specialmente nelle carriere legate alla presenza culturale dell'Italia all'estero;
- Esercitare funzioni di elevata responsabilità nella direzione di centri studi e di ricerca, pubblici e privati, in istituzioni governative e locali nei settori della pianificazione territoriale e della gestione delle risorse ambientali e paesistiche, nell'ambito delle politiche di fruizione dei beni culturali e in quello del trattamento e interpretazione dell'informazione geografica;
- Ulteriori sbocchi occupazionali, con funzioni di coordinamento, sono anche quelli relativi all'editoria geografica multimediale, alle organizzazioni internazionali di intervento sociale e di volontariato, nonché quelli connessi con il marketing territoriale e la valorizzazione del territorio, come gli ecomusei e i parchi naturalistici.
I laureati del corso di Laurea Magistrale in Storia e società avranno la possibilità di accedere ad un corso di Dottorato di ricerca, secondo le disposizioni dei regolamenti ministeriali e dei singoli Atenei, o ad un Master anche di secondo livello secondo le normative dell'Ateneo che lo organizza.
Le attività obbligatorie del corso di Laurea sono finalizzate alla preparazione per l'accesso ai corsi di Dottorati di ricerca nelle relative aree disciplinari di competenza.
Le attività a libera scelta dello studente possono permettere di migliorare la sua preparazione a queste tipologie di dottorato di ricerca nonché di agevolare l'accesso ad altre tipologie di dottorato di ricerca.
Si nota che i codici ISTAT che si devono qui utilizzare, consentono solo una descrizione generica di alcuni degli sbocchi professionali previsti per questo corso di laurea
Orientamento in ingresso
Le attività di orientamento, tirocinio, stage e placement, a livello di Ateneo, sono promosse e coordinate dal Gruppo di Lavoro per l'Orientamento di Ateneo (GLOA) costituito, sino ad ora, da due delegati dei Presidi per ciascuna Facoltà (oggi Dipartimenti), dalla Responsabile della Divisione Politiche per gli Studenti e coordinato dal delegato del Rettore per le politiche di orientamento.
Il GLOA promuove azioni relative all'orientamento in ingresso, all'orientamento in itinere (tutorato, tirocini e stage) e all'orientamento in uscita (politiche attive per il lavoro e placement).
Orientamento in ingresso
A indirizzare e consigliare i laureati iscritti, nella scelta del percorso di studi magistrali e nella composizione del piano di studi, provvedono in primo luogo i tutori, con il supporto di studenti seniores, nonché le strutture del Dipartimento preposte alla didattica.

Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Storia e Società (LM84) propone un percorso di studio in grado di rispondere contemporaneamente a due esigenze decisive: far maturare le competenze verso un più alto grado di qualificazione; soddisfare interessi e vocazioni personali.
Nella Laurea Magistrale le discipline storiche vengono approfondite non solo per temi e problemi, ma anche nel loro profilo concettuale, critico e metodologico, sperimentando le tecniche della ricerca storica.
la proposta è quella di un percorso di studi non solo dal necessario carattere teoretico ma anche legato a problematiche dell'attuale dibattito culturale italiano e europeo, con una significativa apertura alle realtà internazionali della cooperazione e dello sviluppo.
Gli studenti possono optare fra diversi indirizzi a seconda dei loro interessi.
La struttura dei corsi è inoltre organizzata per consentire il massimo dialogo tra docenti e studenti anche tramite un capillare servizio di tutorato ed orientamento
Il Corso di studio è articolato su tre curricula:
- Storia, comunicazione e cooperazione internazionale
- Società ed ambiente
- European History: quest'ultimo curriculum è riservato agli studenti iscritti al doppio titolo con la Von Homboldt Universitat di Berlino.
L'accesso al doppio titolo è a numero chiuso tramite bando di concorso.
Lo studente espliciterà le proprie scelte al momento della presentazione,
tramite il sistema informativo di ateneo, del piano di completamento o del piano di studio individuale,

Across the critical analysis of a specific subject of the catholic Church history in the early modern or modern age, that varies every year, the course intends to guide the students to acquire the discipline’s exact methodology (the probed understanding of problematic nodes, of the events, of the institutions, of the specific doctrines and terminologies). The course intends provide to the students the necessary competency in the historical sources’ autonomic collection and interpretation and in oral and written presentation of autonomic judgements on the analyzed questions. By turns the chronological period will a year the Early Modern Age and a year the Modern Age.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: BY THE END OF THE COURSE, THROUGH THE STUDY OF THE MATERIALS IN THE PROGRAM – PRINT AND VIDEO – STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE A B2 LEVEL ON READING AND LISTENING COMPREHENSION.
