Il laureati dovranno avere capacità di esprimere autonomamente valutazioni argomentate in sede di analisi di un fenomeno o di un problema aziendale e di suggerire decisioni per gestirlo e/o risolverlo, anche in relazione alla complessità del contesto economico e sociale.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo si è cercato di sviluppare una conoscenza ampia, articolata e critica dei concetti e degli strumenti trattati.
Questo a due livelli.
A livello di struttura del corso di studio, pur tenendo conto della centralità dell'ambito aziendale (in considerazione degli obiettivi formativi della classe e del corso di laurea), si è fornito un mix ragionevolmente equilibrato anche degli altri 3 ambiti scientifico-disciplinari previsti dalla classe, in modo da favorire nello studente una visione interdisciplinare del tema/problema trattato e da sensibilizzarlo alla necessità e utilità di utilizzare linguaggi e strumenti diversi per analizzarlo/valutarlo, adattando l'argomentazione alla particolare prospettiva assunta.
A livello di singolo insegnamento, si fornisce sui singoli temi trattati un quadro sistematico e multilaterale dei diversi approcci di analisi, nonché la duplice prospettiva, teorica ed empirica, di analisi.Abilità comunicative
Il laureati dovranno avere capacità di comunicare valutazioni/argomentazioni/decisioni in con linguaggio scientifico-professionale in maniera chiara ed efficace.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo si favorisce l'acquisizione nei diversi insegnamenti del linguaggio specialistico (per esempio con il riferimento anche a dati, rapporti, materiali, tratti dalla realtà) e il ricorso a forme di verifica che utilizzano sia l'esposizione orale che scritta, e e in alcuni casi attraverso il lavoro di gruppo per la realizzazione di progetti anche interdisciplinari.Capacità di apprendimento
I laureati dovranno avere capacità di apprendere e rielaborare concetti e tecniche, a livelli successivi di approfondimento, con rigore metodologico, approccio critico e selettività applicativa, in funzione sia dell'inserimento nel mondo del lavoro sia del proseguimento degli studi.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo, gli studenti saranno guidati lungo percorsi formativi caratterizzati da un progressivo innalzamento del livello delle competenze e delle capacità analitiche e metodologiche richieste per l'acquisizione finale dei crediti formativi.
Verranno utilizzati strumenti di verifica intermedia e finale coerenti con il raggiungimento di questo obiettivo, utilizzando forme alternative e graduali di verifica dell'expertise maturata, quali prove orali, prove scritte, test multiple choice, project work individuali e di gruppo, ecc.Requisiti di ammissione
Per accedere al corso di laurea è richiesta una buona cultura generale ed una sufficiente attitudine al ragionamento logico-analitico.
Gli studenti che intendono immatricolarsi dovranno essere in possesso di un diploma di scuola secondaria superiore o di un titolo ad esso equipollente e dovranno sostenere una prova di ingresso con finalità di orientamento, volta a favorire nello studente l'autoverifica delle proprie attitudini di base nei confronti del corso di laurea.
La prova è articolata in due aree: a) capacità di comprensione di un testo e b) capacità logico-matematiche, che saranno valutate separatamente in modo da individuare eventuali carenze nell'una e/o nell'altra area.
La valutazione complessiva terrà anche conto del curriculum scolastico dello studente.
Le modalità di verifica e gli obblighi formativi aggiuntivi in caso di esito non positivo della stessa saranno dettagliati nel regolamento didattico del corso di studio, al quale si rinvia.
Prova finale
La struttura didattica di riferimento ha scelto, nell'ambito della discrezionalità riconosciuta dalla legge, di privilegiare gli aspetti dei fondamenti formativi del corso di studio.
Di conseguenza ha deciso di riservare alla prova finale il rilievo di una semplice e mirata verifica del complesso della preparazione già acquisita e pertanto di attribuire alla stessa 3 CFU.
Coerentemente con la norma, si ritiene infatti che la prova finale abbia il ruolo di importante occasione formativa individuale a completamento del percorso, ma che, proprio in tal senso, non debba tradursi nell'approfondimento più o meno ampio di altre conoscenze del corso di studio o del percorso formativo-professionale scelto dalla studente.
Ma piuttosto debba consentire di verificare, su un tema oggetto di studio nel percorso formativo del laureando, i risultati di apprendimento attesi attraverso il recupero, in ottica sistematica, integrata e possibilmente critica, delle conoscenze già acquisite.
La prova, pertanto, sarà organizzata in modo da verificare su un determinato argomento, che sia rilevante per il corso di laurea e/o il percorso scelto, il raggiungimento dei risultati di apprendimento attesi del corso di laurea stesso, come sono stati in precedenza esplicitati, e in particolare capacità di comprensione, capacità di applicazione a problemi/contesti differenti, capacità di rielaborazione critica e argomentazione, capacità di comunicazione scritta/orale.
Coerentemente, il punteggio finale dell'esame di laurea terrà conto, oltre che della prova finale e della media degli esami sostenuti, anche di altri aspetti quali-quantitativi del percorso formativo svolto dal laureando, che appunto completano la verifica del raggiungimento dei suddetti risultati di apprendimento attesi.
Orientamento in ingresso
Le attività di orientamento, tirocinio, stage e placement, a livello di Ateneo, sono promosse e coordinate dal Gruppo di Lavoro per l'Orientamento di Ateneo (GLOA) costituito dal Delegato del Rettore per le politiche di orientamento, con ruolo di coordinatore, da due delegati dei Direttori per ciascun Dipartimento, un Delegato dei Presidenti per le due Scuole e dalla Responsabile della Divisione Politiche per gli Studenti.
Il GLOA promuove azioni relative all'orientamento in ingresso, all'orientamento in itinere (tutorato, tirocini e stage) e all'orientamento in uscita (politiche attive per il lavoro e placement).
Ad integrazione di tali attività il Dipartimento finanzia un Progetto per i rapporti con il territorio il cui scopo è quello di promuovere incontri finalizzati all'orientamento in itinere e in uscita degli studenti dei CdS del Dipartimento e di raccogliere feedback sulla valutazione di stage e tirocini da parte delle aziende presso le quali gli studenti sono collocati.
Orientamento in ingresso
Le azioni di orientamento in ingresso sono improntate alla realizzazione di processi di raccordo con la scuola media secondaria.
Si concretizzano in attività di carattere informativo sui Corsi di Studio (CdS) dell'Ateneo ma anche come impegno condiviso da Scuola e Università per favorire lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza da parte degli studenti nel compiere scelte coerenti con le proprie conoscenze, competenze, attitudini e interessi.
Le attività promosse si articolano in:
a) seminari e attività formative realizzate in collaborazione con i docenti della scuola;
b) incontri e manifestazioni informative rivolte alle future matricole;
c) sviluppo di servizi on line per l'orientamento e l'auto-orientamento.
Tra le attività svolte in collaborazione con le scuole per lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza nella scelta, il “progetto di auto-orientamento” è un intervento significativo che consente di promuovere un raccordo particolarmente qualificato con alcune scuole medie superiori che insistono sul territorio limitrofo a Roma Tre.
Il progetto, infatti, è articolato in incontri svolti presso le scuole dagli esperti dell'Ufficio Orientamento con la collaborazione di studenti seniores ed è finalizzato a sollecitare nelle future matricole una riflessione sui propri punti di forza e sui criteri di scelta (gli incontri si svolgono nel periodo ottobre-dicembre).
La presentazione dell'offerta formativa agli studenti delle scuole superiori prevede tre eventi principali, distribuiti nel corso dell'anno accademico, ai quali partecipano tutti i CdS.
• Salone dello studente “Campus orienta”, si svolge presso la fiera di Roma fra ottobre e novembre e coinvolge tradizionalmente tutti gli Atenei del Lazio e molti Atenei fuori Regione, Enti pubblici e privati che si occupano di Formazione e Lavoro.
Roma Tre partecipa a questo evento con un proprio spazio espositivo e con conferenze di presentazione dell'offerta formativa dell'Ateneo.
• Le Giornate di Vita Universitaria (GVU) si svolgono ogni anno da gennaio a marzo e sono rivolte agli studenti degli ultimi due anni della scuola secondaria superiore.
Si svolgono in tutti i Dipartimenti dell'Ateneo e costituiscono una importante occasione per le future matricole per vivere la realtà universitaria.
Gli incontri sono strutturati in modo tale che accanto alla presentazione dei CdS, gli studenti possano anche fare un'esperienza diretta di vita universitaria con la partecipazione ad attività didattiche, laboratori, lezioni o seminari, alle quali partecipano anche studenti seniores che svolgono una significativa mediazione di tipo tutoriale.
Partecipano annualmente oltre 6.000 studenti delle secondarie.
• Orientarsi a Roma Tre rappresenta la manifestazione che chiude le annuali attività di orientamento in ingresso e si svolge in Ateneo a luglio di ogni anno.
L'evento accoglie mediamente circa 3.000 studenti romani e non solo, che partecipano per mettere definitivamente a fuoco la loro scelta universitaria.
Oltre all'offerta formativa sono presentati tutti i principali servizi di Roma Tre rivolti agli studenti e le segreterie didattiche sono a disposizione per tutte le informazioni relative alle pratiche di immatricolazione.
In tutte le manifestazioni di presentazione dell'offerta formativa, sono illustrati anche i vari servizi on line che possono aiutare gli studenti nella scelta: dai siti web dei Dipartimenti al sito del POS (Prove di Orientamento Simulate) che consente alle future matricole di autovalutarsi rispetto ai requisiti di accesso per tutti i CdS di Roma Tre.
Infine, in tutte le manifestazioni che si svolgono in Ateneo sono somministrati ai partecipanti questionari di soddisfazione che vengono elaborati ed utilizzati per proporre miglioramenti all'organizzazione degli eventi.
Il Dipartimento inoltre propone in maniera autonoma altre attività tra cui .
- incontri con gli studenti di singoli Istituti superiori nel primo semestre di ogni anno
- incontri con le matricole finalizzati a presentare i CdS e a fornire tutte le informazioni sulle procedure amministrative relative agli aspetti didattici all'inizio di ogni anno accademico.
Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il Corso di Laurea in Economia e gestione aziendale (CLEGA) si propone di
preparare gli studenti sia allo svolgimento di attività professionali in
ambito economico-aziendale, sia alla continuazione degli studi nello stesso ambito.
Nel corso del triennio gli studenti acquisiscono:
• le conoscenze di base nelle materie aziendali, economiche, giuridiche e quantitative (matematiche;statistiche)
• le capacità di analisi, di interpretazione e di lettura critica dei fenomeni, dei dati
aziendali e delle informazioni rilevanti;
.• le competenze necessarie per supportare il decision-making manageriale.
Il Corso di Laurea in Economia e gestione aziendale è articolato in quattro percorsi formativi che offrono un'ampia scelta di approfondimenti consentendo agli studenti, una volta acquisitie le conoscenze di base, di studiare a fondo specifici aspetti relativi alla gestione d'impresa.
L'obiettivo è quello di sviluppare un approccio professionale alle
diverse problematiche aziendali anche attraverso elementi di apprendimento avanzato e di orientare lo studente verso una scelta consapevole sia in funzione di un diretto inserimento nel mondo del lavoro, sia in funzione del proseguimento
degli studi.
L'offerta formativa si differenzia nei diversi perscorsi a partire dal secondo anno, dopo che lo studente ha acquisito le conoscenze di base fondamentali.

-QUALITA' DEI PRODOTTI E TUTELA DEL CONSUMATORE
Per conseguire la laurea lo studente deve maturare 180 CFU, ripartiti tra 19 insegnamenti, due prove di idoneità (lingua inglese e informatica) e prova finale.
E' attiva presso il Dipartimento una convenzione con l'Ordine dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili di Roma che consente agli studenti che frequentano l'ultimo anno del CLEGA di svolgere un tirocino professionale che dà diritto ad ottenere l'esonero dalla prima prova dell'esame di stato per l'accesso alla sezione B dell'Albo.
Per quanto attiene al proseguimento degli studi, la formazione acquisita consentirà l'accesso a Lauree Magistrali o Master di primo livello sulle varie tematiche proprie dell'ambito economico-aziendale o ad esso collegate.
I possibili sbocchi professionali sono:
• figure professionali e carriere manageriali nelle diverse funzioni di impresa (amministrazione e controllo, finanza, marketing, organizzazione, produzione e tecnologia etc.) e nei diversi tipi di aziende (private e pubbliche);
• attività di consulenza nelle varie aree della gestione aziendale;
• attività imprenditoriali.
Lo studente espliciterà le proprie scelte al momento della presentazione,
tramite il sistema informativo di ateneo, del piano di completamento o del piano di studio individuale,
secondo quanto stabilito dal regolamento didattico del corso di studio.

the course aims at enabling students to grasp the basic mathematical topics and tools needed in Economics and Firm Management modeling. The main aim of the course is to provide the basic elements for the study of Macroeconomic Aggregates within closed and open economies. The models for the determination of national income, the interactions between the markets of goods, labor, and financial assets, constitute the core of the course. ACCOUNTING AND MANAGEMENT

In line with the educating objectives of the Degree Course in Economics and Business Management, the Course of Business Economics aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and tools for understanding the structure and behaviors of economic and production systems, investigating the characteristics and purposes of the different types of entities. The Course also provides the basic tools for the recognition of the accounting aspects of ordinary business management, using the accrual basis of accounting. At the end of the course, the student will have: developed a complex and varied understanding method of the business phenomena; become aware of the characteristics, structures and purposes of the main types of entities; acquired a theoretical framework and an appropriate application capacity; become confident with the basic categories of the accounting instruments and with the accrual accounting recognition techniques.

In line with the educational objectives of the Degree Course in Economics and Business Management (CLEGA), the course aims to introduce students to the knowledge of the Italian legal system, in its fundamental and characterising elements, with an in-depth analysis of the issues related to the management and organisation of public powers and public functions in relation to the community of citizens, institutional aspects and the dynamics of management of powers with particular regard to the forms of participation in local, national and supranational laws. Upon completion of teaching, the student will be able to * know the fundamental notions of the structure and institutions of the Italian legal system; * articulate these notions in a conceptually and formally correct way, using adequately legislative and codicistic tools; * understand the nature of the choices made by the Constituent Assembly; * apply the results of regulatory research to the resolution of legal problems; * actively seek the most suitable ideas and deductive chains to demonstrate the links between the branches of public law.

The course is an introduction to political economy through elementary microeconomic analysis. The behavior of consumers and firms is studied for a deeper understanding of the mechanism of price formation in markets for goods and production factors. The course presents different regimes of competitive markets, ranging from perfect competition to oligopoly and monopolistic competition. At the end of the course a student: • will have gained full awareness of the economic dimension in the behavior of individuals and society as a whole; • will be able to understand the basic principles of the economic behavior of consumers and firms, as well as their interdependency in a complex economic system like a market economy; • will have developed the capacity of critical analysis of the various theories that explain firms’ and consumers’ behavior, and their interactions.

Statistics is a compulsory course aimed at introducing the basic techniques for the analysis of statistical data. Topics taught include displaying and describing data, basic probability theory and statistical inference. Attention will be focused on applications to business and economics. FINANCIAL REPORTING

Coherently with the goal of the Economics and Business Administration the lessons provide an overview of income and asset measurement and disclosure in the financial statements. The first part is focused on the different theories framed on the income recognition. The second part studies in deep the not public companies’ financial statements in the Italian laws and practices. The third part introduces the IAS/IFRS system, applied, in Italy, to public companies. Students that will attend the course will be able: - to recognize theories inspiring the preparation and presentation of firms’ financial statements; - to apply methods for valuating companies’ assets and liabilities and for preparing income statement and balance sheet; - use the calculation and evaluation tools acquired and explain rigorously and clearly the topics studied.

In line with the educational objectives of the Degree Course in Economics and Business Management, the course promotes knowledge of the fundamental institutions of private law, through a logical-scientific and methodological approach to the matter, which allows students to acquire a solid base to deepen more specific areas and related disciplines - including those to be addressed in the master’s degree courses activated in the Department - and indispensable for their cultural and professional training. It aims to provide the conceptual tools and reading keys useful to allow the understanding of the legal system in its essential components through the analysis of the rules and their concrete application. To this end, both during the course and in the study of the recommended texts, the use of an updated civil code is indispensable. At the end of the course, the student will have: - taken knowledge and become acquainted with the basic categories of private law and with the fundamentals of the methodology of legal interpretation; - acquired a notional-theoretical apparatus and an appropriate technical language; - developed a method of understanding the subject.

In line with the learning objectives of the Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management (CLEGA), this course aims to provide the students with a sound basic knowledge of financial instruments, financial intermediaries, financial markets and the applying regulation. For each category of financial instrument, the course analyzes the main characteristics and trading methods. For firms operating in different sectors of financial intermediation (banking, securities, insurance), the course examine organization, strategy, and conditions for viability. Finally, the course focuses on regulation and supervision, also considering determinants and consequences of financial crises. At the end of the course, the students will have developed: • an in-depth knowledge of financial instruments, intermediaries and markets, their roles and functions; • the ability to analyse and interpret financial firms’ behaviour, also considering their regulation; • the ability to critically analyse the evolution of the financial system and its impact on the real economy.

FINANCIAL MATHEMATICS

According with the educational objectives of the Degree in Economia e Gestione Aziendale (CLEGA), the course aims to set the foundations of financial evaluation, to provide the basics for the markets’ formalization and for the measurement of the value and risk of financial contracts, to introduce the evaluation of traditional insurance contracts.
At the end of the course students will have developed a solid and rigorous, both theoretical and practical, knowledge on the fundamentals of financial evaluation, on the evaluation of basic and derivative financial contracts (fixed and variable rate bonds and mortgages, interest rate swaps and standard financial options), on the foundations of insurance evaluation.

(objectives)
The course aims at providing students the most relevant instruments for a deep knowledge of functioning and effects of public policies in a closed and open economy context. Market failures and related policy interventions are analysed under the lens of the globalization process. Specific attention is given to the European Union market and policies. At the end of the course students will be equipped with a comprehensive knowledge on: - main market mechanisms on which public policy is based; - theories and practical rules for policy impact evaluation and assessment of efficiency and effectiveness of policy instruments with respect to targets and costs; - mapping methods for complexity analysis on different geographical scales in order to draw the general picture and the specific features that drive choices of policy makers; - applying main efficiency and effectiveness evaluation methods for impacts of public policies on fiscal and monetary themes at different territorial scale, from the regional to the international one.

The aims of this course is to explain public sector management and accounting by an integrated approach, such as drawing together accounting theory and practice for each of the main areas (modules) of financial accounting, management accounting and audit. This course is designed to help students develop specific public sector accounting skills. Module I – Introduction: In the first section, the objective is to explain the managerial developments in the public sector, by give a brief history of these; Module II – Management accounting: In the second section the objective is to explain developments in the use of internal markets and compulsory competition and the more recent emphasis on public-private concept and the introduction of the private concept in the public sector; Module III – Financial accounting: In the third section the object is to explain updates and internationalizes the discussion of financial accounting theory and regulation. In line with the educational objectives of the degree course in Economics and Business Management, The course aims to provide a solid knowledge of the following basics: - the nature, uses and purposes of management accounting; - the main classifications and cost configurations and their uses; - the main analytical tools related to different cost configurations, their formulas and meanings; -the analysis of profitability, cost-benefit analysis and choice between alternatives.
At the end of the course students should be able to select and apply the main management accounting tools to support decisions. Coherently with the goal of the Economics and Business Administration the lessons provide an overview of income and asset measurement and disclosure in the financial statements. The first part is focused on the different theories framed on the income recognition. The second part studies in deep the not public companies’ financial statements in the Italian laws and practices. The third part introduces the IAS/IFRS system, applied, in Italy, to public companies. For each category of financial instrument, the course analyzes the main characteristics and trading methods. For firms operating in different sectors of financial intermediation (banking, securities, insurance), the course examine organization, strategy, and conditions for viability. Finally, the course focuses on regulation and supervision, also considering determinants and consequences of financial crises. (objectives)
The course aims at providing students the most relevant instruments for a deep knowledge of functioning and effects of public policies in a closed and open economy context. Market failures and related policy interventions are analysed under the lens of the globalization process. Specific attention is given to the European Union market and policies. At the end of the course students will be equipped with a comprehensive knowledge on: - main market mechanisms on which public policy is based; - theories and practical rules for policy impact evaluation and assessment of efficiency and effectiveness of policy instruments with respect to targets and costs; - mapping methods for complexity analysis on different geographical scales in order to draw the general picture and the specific features that drive choices of policy makers; - applying main efficiency and effectiveness evaluation methods for impacts of public policies on fiscal and monetary themes at different territorial scale, from the regional to the international one.

THE ECONOMICS OF SECURITIES MARKETS
(objectives)
In line with the learning objectives of the Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management (CLEGA), this course aims to provide the students with a general understanding of financial markets and financial instruments (bonds, equities, and derivatives). For each category of financial instrument, the course analyzes the main characteristics and trading methods, as well as the most common risk and return measures to support investment choices. The course also provides an overview of regulation in the field of investment services and mutual funds. With regard to asset allocation, after considering the main theoretical models (Markowitz's Portfolio Selection, Capital Asset Pricing Model), the course deals with investment strategies and methodologies for evaluating asset managers' performance. At the end of the course, the students will have developed: • an in-depth knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments, as well as the main theoretical portfolio models; • a basic knowledge of the regulation applicable to investment services and mutual funds; • the ability to calculate and interpret the main risk and return measures of financial instruments; • the ability to critically apply the main techniques for assessing asset managers' performance.

In line with the educational objectives of the Degree Course in Economics and Business Management, the course promotes knowledge of the fundamental institutions of financial market law, through a logical-scientific and methodological approach to the matter, which allows students to acquire a more solid and structured juridical competence, deepening more specific areas and matters, debated in a general way or simply mentioned in other fundamental disciplines activated in the Department and indispensable for their cultural and professional training. It aims to provide the conceptual tools and reading keys useful to allow the understanding of the financial market legal system in its essential components through the analysis of the rules of the Legislative Decree no. 58 of 24 February 1998, “Consolidated Law on Finance”, of its related implementation regulations and their concrete application. To this end, both during the course and in the study of the recommended texts, the use of updated civil code and laws’ texts is indispensable. At the end of the course, the student will have: - taken knowledge and become acquainted with the basic categories of financial market law and with the fundamentals of the methodology of related legal interpretation; - acquired a notional-theoretical apparatus and an appropriate technical language; - developed a method of understanding the subject.

Coherently with the goal of the Economics and Business Administration the lessons provide an overview of income and asset measurement and disclosure in the financial statements. The first part is focused on the different theories framed on the income recognition. The second part studies in deep the not public companies’ financial statements in the Italian laws and practices. The third part introduces the IAS/IFRS system, applied, in Italy, to public companies. Students that will attend the course will be able: - to recognize theories inspiring the preparation and presentation of firms’ financial statements; - to apply methods for valuating companies’ assets and liabilities and for preparing income statement and balance sheet; - use the calculation and evaluation tools acquired and explain rigorously and clearly the topics studied.

The course aims at: - explaining the specificity of "Organization" as a field of study and the characteristics of the subject "Business Organization"; - Providing some essential cognitive tools for dealing with the study of organizational literature and its evolution; - Developing and deepening the organizational design that, according to the mainstream approach, may be regarded as the main topic of a Business Organization course. In particular, we will analyze in detail the following organizational design choices: - the design of jobs and positions (work design) - the design of work processes (intra-organizational relationship) - the design of organizational structures (business structure) - the design of information systems - the design of organizational boundaries (inter-organizational relationship) - Introducing the issues of " human resources management " and "change management " (these issues will be the subject of in-depth study in the organization of master's degree courses); - Providing the students with the opportunity to handle tools for the analysis and interpretation of organizations, through the study of the contributions produced by some of the major authors of organizational theory and of business cases that illustrate and highlight organizational issues and practices adopted for their resolution. In order to introduce the students to the variety of concrete practices and to stimulate reflection on the articulation of the organizational choices to be faced, the course will combine: traditional teaching methods (lectures), useful for framing the complexity of the topics dealt with; exercises, carried out by the students, organized in team; speeches by firm executives; discussion of case studies.

In line with the educational objectives of the Degree Course in Economics and Business Management, the course promotes knowledge of the fundamental institutions of private law, through a logical-scientific and methodological approach to the matter, which allows students to acquire a solid base to deepen more specific areas and related disciplines - including those to be addressed in the master’s degree courses activated in the Department - and indispensable for their cultural and professional training. It aims to provide the conceptual tools and reading keys useful to allow the understanding of the legal system in its essential components through the analysis of the rules and their concrete application. To this end, both during the course and in the study of the recommended texts, the use of an updated civil code is indispensable. At the end of the course, the student will have: - taken knowledge and become acquainted with the basic categories of private law and with the fundamentals of the methodology of legal interpretation; - acquired a notional-theoretical apparatus and an appropriate technical language; - developed a method of understanding the subject.

According with the educational objectives of the Degree in Economia e Gestione Aziendale (CLEGA), the course aims to set the foundations of financial evaluation, to provide the basics for the markets’ formalization and for the measurement of the value and risk of financial contracts, to introduce the evaluation of traditional insurance contracts.
At the end of the course students will have developed a solid and rigorous, both theoretical and practical, knowledge on the fundamentals of financial evaluation, on the evaluation of basic and derivative financial contracts (fixed and variable rate bonds and mortgages, interest rate swaps and standard financial options), on the foundations of insurance evaluation.

The course aims at providing students the most relevant instruments for a deep knowledge of functioning and effects of public policies in a closed and open economy context. Market failures and related policy interventions are analysed under the lens of the globalization process. Specific attention is given to the European Union market and policies. At the end of the course students will be equipped with a comprehensive knowledge on: - main market mechanisms on which public policy is based; - theories and practical rules for policy impact evaluation and assessment of efficiency and effectiveness of policy instruments with respect to targets and costs; - mapping methods for complexity analysis on different geographical scales in order to draw the general picture and the specific features that drive choices of policy makers; - applying main efficiency and effectiveness evaluation methods for impacts of public policies on fiscal and monetary themes at different territorial scale, from the regional to the international one.

A first part is focused on the main institutions (Council, European Council, Commission, European Parliament, Court of Justice, European Central Bank, etc ...). Then follows the study of the Union's acts and their procedures (legislative and non-legislative procedures). Attention is then dedicated to the relationship between the legal order of the Union and those of the member states, and to some appeals (appeal for a preliminary ruling, infringement procedure, appeal for annulment). Finally, attention is paid to technological innovation, which is the basis of recent reforms.

CONSUMER LAW: CONSUMER PROTECTION
(objectives)
In line with the tutorial objectives of the Degree Course in Economics and Business Management (CLEGA), the teaching focuses on the general guidelines of the EU and national regulatory framework aimed at protecting the rights of consumers and users. The course aims to provide the students with the skills to grasp the problems which may arise before consumers and users of public and private services, so as to correctly frame them in their essential legal elements and possibly identify the tools for their solution. It will be mainly seminarial and will be conducted through a constant examination of EU and Italian regulatory texts, as well as the analysis of the most relevant judgments pronounced by the EU Court of Justice, by the Italian Court of Cassation and by the relevant Courts. Attending students will receive special in-depth didactic material relating to the topics covered. At the end of the course, students are expected to have: - ability to examine and interpret sources, organization and regulations; - knowledge and understanding of the basic and sectoral legal rules governing the wide-ranging protection of the consumer; - ability to trace, among the rules of consumer law, those suitable for providing the solution of a concrete case; - the acquisition of a method which allows the student to orient himself/herself, within the legal system, in the search for the most suitable tools to address issues and problems not previously addressed, through the process of empowering the interpreter.
