Degree Course: Teaching Italian as a second language (DIL2)

Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
Finalizzato alla formazione di laureati magistrali preposti all’insegnamento della lingua e della cultura italiana a parlanti non nativi, il corso di laurea magistrale in Didattica dell’Italiano come Lingua Seconda (DIL2) fornisce un’avanzata conoscenza delle teorie e dei metodi della linguistica generale, della linguistica e della storia della lingua italiana, della sociolinguistica e della glottodidattica.
Mira inoltre a sviluppare una solida formazione nel campo letterario, storico e artistico italiano, affiancata dalla conoscenza della tradizione letteraria di almeno un altro paese europeo e/o extraeuropeo, e dalla capacità di usarne fluentemente, a livello orale e scritto, la lingua.
Il profilo formativo del corso è completato da specifiche conoscenze nel settore della psicologia dell’educazione, della sociologia e delle discipline antropologiche, grazie alle quali gli studenti possono acquisire teorie e metodi in grado di potenziare l’insegnamento della lingua e tradizione culturale italiane, adattandolo alle esigenze di apprendenti in età evolutiva, a contesti di apprendimento interculturali e più in generale alle situazioni caratterizzate dalla presenza di parlanti di diverse lingue e culture.
Le conoscenze e le capacità di comprensione sopraelencate sono raggiunte mediante la partecipazione alle lezioni frontali e seminariali, così come previsto dalle attività formative di base e caratterizzanti attivate, lo studio individuale e la partecipazione a tirocini e attività laboratoriali.
Gli esami scritti e/o orali rappresentano il sistema di verifica dell’apprendimento.
Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
Al termine del corso il laureato magistrale è in grado di applicare le conoscenze acquisite a livello teorico e metodologico, nelle discipline linguistiche, glottodidattiche e psicoantropologiche, ai fini dell'insegnamento dell'italiano ad apprendenti non italofoni e in contesti ove si trovino a interagire lingue e culture diverse, anche attraverso l'elaborazione di progetti e percorsi di apprendimento adeguati alla specifica situazione.
L'acquisizione di approfondite conoscenze storico-letterarie e delle avanzate competenze critiche necessarie all'analisi e alla comprensione dei testi letterari di varie epoche sono proficuamente messe a frutto nella trasmissione di contenuti storico-letterari e più in generale culturali relativi alla tradizione italiana.
Il corso di laurea magistrale predispone anche alla ricerca in àmbito glottodidattico e linguistico, con particolare riferimento ai fenomeni e alle tematiche coinvolti nella didattica dell'italiano a parlanti non nativi, alla descrizione e all'analisi delle interlingue e alla didattica della civiltà e della letteratura italiane.
La riflessione critica sui testi, l'approfondimento di natura bibliografica e lo studio di concrete prassi didattiche, anche in contesti interculturali, costituiscono gli strumenti necessari per conseguire le capacità di applicazione delle conoscenze e della comprensione Gli esami scritti e/o orali, le verifiche intermedie e le attività laboratoriali rappresentano il sistema di verifica della capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione.
Autonomia di giudizio
Il laureato magistrale è in grado di leggere e interpretare contesti e situazioni interculturali, adattando il proprio operato e le strategie didattiche messe in campo alla fisionomia linguistica e culturale degli apprendenti.
In tale àmbito sa individuare criticità e limiti del contesto di apprendimento e mettere in atto le strategie opportune per risolverli.
Sa inoltre confezionare e proporre metodi e materiali adeguati per l'insegnamento dell'italiano L2.
L'autonomia di giudizio è stimolata e sviluppata lungo l'intera durata del corso mediante le attività seminariali e le prove in itinere (siano esse di carattere scritto o orale) ed è valutata nel processo di elaborazione della prova finale.Abilità comunicative
Al termine del corso di laurea magistrale in Didattica dell'italiano come lingua seconda, il laureato magistrale ha affinato e approfondito la propria competenza comunicativa.
Oltre all'italiano conosce e usa fluentemente, nell'orale e nello scritto, la lingua di un altro paese europeo e/o extraeuropeo; sa elaborare testi scritti efficaci ed esposizioni orali chiare e strutturate, anche attraverso l'uso dei mezzi offerti dalla comunicazione digitale.
Inoltre, sa relazionarsi in un contesto didattico e interagire con persone di diversa provenienza e lingua.
Domina il lessico specialistico nei settori delle scienze del linguaggio e nelle scienze del testo ed è in grado di divulgare contenuti scientifici di alta complessità a un pubblico di non specialisti.
Tali competenze saranno conseguite mediante lezioni frontali, seminariali, esercitazioni e laboratori.
Le prove d'esame, le esercitazioni e le attività laboratoriali rappresentano il sistema di verifica dell'apprendimento e delle abilità comunicative acquisite.
Capacità di apprendimento
Il laureato magistrale in Didattica dell'italiano come lingua seconda è in grado di reperire informazioni e di valutarle criticamente.
Sa inoltre procedere ad approfondimenti in piena autonomia, specialmente nel campo delle discipline linguistiche e glottodidattiche, mantenendosi aggiornato rispetto alle nuove acquisizioni delle scienze del linguaggio, della didattica generale e disciplinare e delle scienze del testo.
Le conoscenze e le competenze apprese lo rendono idoneo a proseguire gli studi, nell'àmbito sia del dottorato di ricerca sia di master e scuole di specializzazione, soprattutto nei settori legati all'insegnamento, alla gestione di percorsi formativi e alla ricerca scientifica.
Tali competenze saranno conseguite mediante lezioni frontali, seminariali, esercitazioni e laboratori.
Gli esami scritti e/o orali, le verifiche intermedie e le attività laboratoriali, rappresentano il sistema di verifica e di incentivo delle capacità di apprendimento.
Requisiti di ammissione
I requisiti curriculari per l'immatricolazione al CdLM in DIL2 sono i seguenti:
a) conseguimento del titolo di I livello in una delle seguenti Classi di Laurea: L-1 Beni culturali, L-10 Lettere; L-42 Storia, comprensivo di almeno 60 CFU complessivi nei S.S.D.
di cui alla tabella A:
b) conseguimento del titolo di I livello in una delle seguenti classi di Laurea: L-3 Discipline delle arti figurative, della musica, dello spettacolo e della moda; L-5 Filosofia; L-11 Lingue e culture moderne; L-12 Mediazione linguistica; L-20 Scienze della comunicazione, comprensivo di almeno 72 CFU complessivi nei S.S.D.
di cui alla tabella A:
c) conseguimento del titolo di I livello in una classe diversa da quelle indicate ai punti a) e b), comprensivo di almeno 90 CFU complessivi nei S.S.D.
di cui alla tabella A.
A seguito della verifica del possesso dei requisiti curriculari precedentemente descritti ai punti a), b) e c) è prevista, secondo la normativa vigente, una verifica della preparazione personale, e, a tal proposito, si ritiene indispensabile, in base alla lingua prescelta per il biennio magistrale, la conoscenza di una lingua europea a livello B2 (comprensione e produzione scritta e orale).
Le modalità di verifica della personale preparazione e delle competenze linguistiche sono rinviate al Regolamento Didattico del CdSM.

Prova finale
La Laurea Magistrale in Didattica dell'Italiano come Lingua Seconda (DIL2) si consegue previo superamento di una prova finale, che consiste nella presentazione e discussione di una tesi in lingua italiana elaborata in modo originale dallo studente sotto la guida di un relatore.
Alla tesi sono attribuiti 24 CFU e pertanto la sua entità è rapportata alle ore di lavoro previste per un tale numero di crediti.
La prova finale per il conseguimento del titolo di studio (Laurea Magistrale) consiste nella elaborazione di una tesi in lingua italiana che affronti un tema di carattere linguistico o glottodidattico il cui argomento sia stato preventivamente concordato con il docente relatore.
Orientamento in ingresso
Le azioni di orientamento in ingresso sono improntate alla realizzazione di processi di raccordo con la scuola media secondaria.
Si concretizzano sia in attività informative e di approfondimento dei caratteri formativi dei Corsi di Studio (CdS) dell’Ateneo, sia in un impegno condiviso da scuola e università per favorire lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza da parte degli studenti nel compiere scelte coerenti con le proprie conoscenze, competenze, attitudini e interessi.
Le attività promosse si articolano in: a) incontri e manifestazioni rivolte alle future matricole; b) sviluppo di servizi online e pubblicazione di guide sull’offerta formativa dei CdS.
L’attività di orientamento in ingresso prevede quattro principali attività, distribuite nel corso dell’anno accademico, alle quali partecipano tutti i Dipartimenti e i CdS: • Giornate di Vita Universitaria (GVU), si svolgono ogni anno nell’arco di circa 4 mesi e sono rivolte agli studenti degli ultimi due anni della scuola secondaria superiore.
Si svolgono in tutti i Dipartimenti dell’Ateneo e costituiscono un’importante occasione per le future matricole per vivere la realtà universitaria.
Gli incontri sono strutturati in modo tale che accanto alla presentazione dei Corsi di Laurea, gli studenti possano anche fare un’esperienza diretta di vita universitaria con la partecipazione ad attività didattiche, laboratori, lezioni o seminari, alle quali partecipano anche studenti seniores che svolgono una significativa mediazione di tipo tutoriale.
Partecipano annualmente circa 4.000 studenti; nel 2022 si sono svolte in presenza e a distanza (in modalità telematica); • Autorientamento, un progetto di orientamento formativo destinato agli studenti delle IV classi e che si svolge ogni anno nell’arco di 5 mesi.
Si sviluppa in collaborazione diretta con alcune scuole medie superiori per lo sviluppo di una maggiore consapevolezza nella scelta da parte degli studenti.
Il progetto, infatti, è articolato in incontri svolti presso le scuole ed è finalizzato a sollecitare nelle future matricole una riflessione sui propri punti di forza e sui criteri di scelta.
Aspetto caratterizzante il progetto, inoltre, è la presenza degli studenti senior dei nostri Corsi di Laurea che attraverso la propria esperienza formativa possono offrire un punto di vista attuale rispetto all’organizzazione e al funzionamento del mondo accademico.
Nell’anno scolastico 2020-2021 la realizzazione del progetto in modalità online ha dato la possibilità a 20 scuole - dislocate sul territorio romano e laziale - di partecipare;
• Attività di orientamento sviluppate dai singoli Dipartimenti, mediante incontri in presenza e servizi online; • Orientarsi a Roma Tre nel 2021 si è svolta in modalità telematica ed è stato realizzato un portale per l’orientamento molto accattivante: orientamento.uniroma3.it.
Rappresenta la manifestazione che riassume le annuali attività di orientamento in ingresso e si svolge ogni anno alla fine dell’anno accademico.
L’evento accoglie, perlopiù, studenti romani che partecipano per mettere definitivamente a fuoco la loro scelta universitaria.
Durante la manifestazione viene presentata l’offerta formativa e sono presenti, con un proprio spazio, tutti i principali servizi di Roma Tre, le segreterie didattiche e la segreteria studenti.
I servizi di orientamento online messi a disposizione dei futuri studenti universitari sono nel tempo aumentati, tenendo conto dello sviluppo delle nuove opportunità di comunicazione tramite web.
Inoltre, durante tutte le manifestazioni di presentazione dell’offerta formativa, sono illustrati quei siti web di Dipartimento, di Ateneo, Portale dello studente, etc., che possono aiutare gli studenti nella loro scelta.
Infine, l’Ateneo valuta, di volta in volta, l’opportunità di partecipare ad ulteriori occasioni di orientamento in presenza ovvero online (Salone dello studente ed altre iniziative).
Nelle azioni intraprese dal singolo CdS per l’ orientamento in ingresso dei futuri studenti magistrali rientrano attività informative e di approfondimento dei caratteri formativi dei CdS, rivolte tanto agli studenti già iscritti a Roma Tre, quanto a un pubblico esterno.
Nel primo caso è il raccordo fra i tutori dei CdS triennali e dei CdS magistrali ad accompagnare lo studente nella scelta del futuro percorso magistrale.
Sono invece pensate anche per un pubblico esterno le Giornate di Presentazione dei CdL del Dipartimento, incontri organizzati in presenza o on-line, con cadenza almeno annuale, pubblicizzati sul sito e sui social del Dipartimento.
Sono inoltre offerti Colloqui individuali con i tutori del CdS agli studenti che ne facciano richiesta.
Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il CdLM in Didattica dell'Italiano come Lingua Seconda (DIL2) si propone di formare laureati magistrali preposti all'insegnamento della lingua e cultura italiana a parlanti non nativi, e di fornire loro la possibilità di utilizzare fluentemente, in forma scritta e orale, una lingua dell'Unione Europea oltre l'italiano.
Il Corso mira, inoltre, a sviluppare ampie competenze in ambito letterario, politico-culturale, storico, artistico e musicale della tradizione italiana, fornendo altresì strumenti metodologici flessibili atti ad affrontare le questioni relative all'insegnamento delle lingue in un contesto multiculturale.
Tali conoscenze e tali competenze sono raggiunte attraverso un percorso incentrato su due specifiche e preponderanti aree di apprendimento: 1.
Linguistica e glottodidattica per l'insegnamento dell'italiano L2; 2.
Civiltà letteraria italiana e dinamiche interculturali.
Nel primo anno è previsto il conseguimento di un congruo numero di crediti formativi nei SSD relativi alla linguistica e alla storia della lingua italiana (L-FIL-LET/12), Filosofia del linguaggio (M-FIL/05), le letterature antiche e moderne (L-FIL-LET/02, L-FIL-LET/04, L-FIL-LET/10, L-FIL-LET/11), in alcuni SSD che si occupano di lingua e traduzione (L-LIN/07, L-LIN/12).
Integrano il quadro delle attività formative gli insegnamenti relativi alle discipline storiche e geografiche (L-ANT/02, L-ANT/03, M-GGR/01, M-STO/02, M-STO/04).
Nel corso del secondo anno la formazione nell'area di apprendimento Linguistica e glottodidattica per l'insegnamento dell'italiano L2 è completata attraverso il conseguimento di un adeguato numero di crediti formativi nei SSD L-LIN/01 e L-LIN/02, mentre per quel che riguarda l'area di apprendimento Civiltà letteraria italiana e dinamiche interculturali, oltre i SSD L-LIN/07 e L-LIN/12, previsti al primo anno, si perfezionerà il percorso con un insegnamento a scelta nei SSD inerenti le discipline informatiche, logico-filosofiche, socio-antropologiche e psico-pedagogiche (INF/01, M-PSI/04, M-DEA/01, SPS/08) e con la scelta di un esame tra le discipline nell'ambito della storia dell’arte (L-ART/01, L-ART/02, L-ART/03).
Lo studente espliciterà le proprie scelte al momento della presentazione,
tramite il sistema informativo di ateneo, del piano di completamento o del piano di studio individuale,
secondo quanto stabilito dal regolamento didattico del corso di studio.

The teaching of Didactics of modern languages falls within the scope of the basic training activities of "Philology and general and applied linguistics" of the degree course in Languages and Linguistic-Cultural Mediation, specifically the activities aimed at providing basic training in the methods and in the tools of analysis and reflection proper to language teaching. The course aims to provide: Knowledge of the phenomena that characterize the language acquisition process (first, second and foreign), with particular attention to the linguistic aspects relating to the acquisition sequences and the development of the ability to use: variability, systematicity and internal and external factors to the individual that affect the acquisition process. Knowledge of the characteristics of the interaction between native and non-native speakers, and its effects on L2 acquisition: input modifications and negotiation, role of output and feedback. Knowledge of the development process of the competence to use a foreign language, with attention to the role of the context, of the input, as well as of the learning strategies involved. Knowledge of language skills development processes, through examples relating to the various languages taught at the Department and in Italian schools, including Italian for foreigners. Development of metalinguistic reflection, in a transversal way, giving particular emphasis to the comparison between languages and the enhancement of the linguistic repertoire of the learners. Knowledge of the role of teaching in language learning, with particular reference to the main teaching methodologies developed in research, to optimize and enhance learning processes, including through the use of new digital technologies. Expected learning outcomes: students will know the research on spontaneous and guided learning of foreign languages and aspects related to the order of acquisition; will be able to carry out metalinguistic reflections; they will be aware of their own linguistic repertoire and will be able to use the comparison between languages to optimize their learning; will know the processes of learning and using the foreign language, the role of the context and of learning strategies; they will know the processes of listening, speaking, reading and writing of foreign languages and Italian L2; they will know the main methodologies and technologies for teaching.

English as an international language: methodological and didactic issues
(objectives)
Graduates in Languages and Literatures for Teaching and Translation acquire knowledge and understanding skills in all the sectors covered by their training in order to 1) achieve a high level of literary and cultural competence in the context of European and American civilizations, with particular attention to those of specialization; 2) deepen the knowledge of the two foreign languages chosen, with the achievement of a high level of proficiency in the first language and a perfecting of the level in the second language; 3) achieve a high level of knowledge of the linguistic problems of the language chosen as a biennial, knowing how to evaluate its developments and characteristics in a diachronic and synchronic key; 4) achieve adequate knowledge of the most up-to-date literary text analysis methodologies; 5) acquire the theoretical-practical tools useful for teaching and translation.
The teaching English as an International Language: Methodological and Didactic Issues is one of the characteristic training activities of the Course. The course provides the fundamental notions relating to the phenomena that have allowed the emergence and affirmation of variant forms of the English language both among native speakers and among the populations of the former British colonies, and finally among other international communities of speakers. The student will develop a greater awareness of the multifaceted nature of English as an international language, while using the English language as a tool for work and metalinguistic reflection. The specific methodological skills related to the pedagogical implications of Global Englishes in the field of L2 English teaching will also be provided, including the initiation of a critical reflection on the role of the teacher and on the purpose of the planned activities, also taking into account the different styles of learning. The student must be able to: design educational paths for teaching the English language in an international context; communicate in written and oral form at an advanced level, demonstrating that you have also acquired socio-cultural competence.

Knowledge of the characteristics of the interaction between native and non-native speakers, and its effects on L2 acquisition: input modifications and negotiation, role of output and feedback. Knowledge of the development process of the competence to use a foreign language, with attention to the role of the context, of the input, as well as of the learning strategies involved. Knowledge of language skills development processes, through examples relating to the various languages taught at the Department and in Italian schools, including Italian for foreigners. Development of metalinguistic reflection, in a transversal way, giving particular emphasis to the comparison between languages and the enhancement of the linguistic repertoire of the learners. Knowledge of the role of teaching in language learning, with particular reference to the main teaching methodologies developed in research, to optimize and enhance learning processes, including through the use of new digital technologies. Graduates in Languages and Literatures for Teaching and Translation acquire knowledge and understanding skills in all the sectors covered by their training in order to 1) achieve a high level of literary and cultural competence in the context of European and American civilizations, with particular attention to those of specialization; 2) deepen the knowledge of the two foreign languages chosen, with the achievement of a high level of proficiency in the first language and a perfecting of the level in the second language; 3) achieve a high level of knowledge of the linguistic problems of the language chosen as a biennial, knowing how to evaluate its developments and characteristics in a diachronic and synchronic key; 4) achieve adequate knowledge of the most up-to-date literary text analysis methodologies; 5) acquire the theoretical-practical tools useful for teaching and translation.
Teaching Plasmar las ideas. Textualidad y argumentación en la prosa en español is one of the characteristic training activities of the Degree Course. The aim of the course is to refine advanced level communication and argumentative skills in Spanish in written and oral production, through the analysis of Spanish and/or Hispano-American prose texts of different types and through reflection on the linguistic and argumentative strategies present in them . At the same time, the student will be guided both in the translation analysis, also from a diachronic or transmedia perspective, and in the translation practice, limited to a selection of texts, on which he will be able to apply the skills he has acquired. Furthermore, the course provides knowledge and advanced critical methodologies of the Spanish language aimed at developing a critical awareness, an autonomous learning capacity and drafting skills applicable to specialist and non-specialist contexts, in an intercultural perspective.

History of Europe and the Mediterranean It intends to address the main critical and problematic nodes of modern history from a perspective aimed at enuclearizing original characters and identity processes of the European continent. Particular attention will be given to the philosophical-political and political-institutional peculiarities that were outlined in European states in the late 15th century and early 19th century. Starting with the English Revolutions of the 17th century and, later, with the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, in fact, parliamentary democracy, secularization, religious tolerance and the recognition of human rights became traditionally not only the pivotal ideas on which the definition of "being European" lay, but real universal guiding principles to be exported and, if necessary, impose on the rest of the globe. But can we really coincide with the advent of European modernity with the beginnings of the process of secularization? What was the relationship between Christian churches and modernity? Which one between the Catholic Church and human rights since the century of Enlightenment?
