The Course “General Linguistics 3” falls within the domain of the Basic learning activities labelled “Philology, General and Applied Linguistics” of the Degree Course in Languages and Cultural-Linguistic Mediation, specifically the activities aiming at providing adequate tools for the analysis and the theoretical study of languages and language. The course of “Typology, universals and the brain” has the aim of providing the foundations of linguistic typology, with special reference to: morphological and syntactic typology, typology and Universals, biological conditions for language. Expected learning outcomes: -The students of the 1st module will know the basic concepts of linguistic typology, of universals and biological bases of language.
