Sociology of youth studies
(objectives)
The course aims to study the change in the condition of youth in post-Fordist and globalized society starting from a reconstruction of the main theoretical and empirical orientations, developed at national and international level, within the field of Youth Studies
With the study of the teaching of Youth Studies the student will be able to achieve the following educational objectives: - In terms of knowledge and understanding: to become familiar with complex concepts in the context of the transformations of the concept of youth as a social construct, transition models, the theme of mobility, individualization, reflexivity and inequalities.
- In terms of ability to apply knowledge and understanding: analyze case studies on the role of mobility as a transition process, on the role of the family, of the sense of belonging and cultural capital.
- In terms of autonomy and judgment: critically orient oneself between the different approaches concerning the theories of transition, generation and the paradigms of individualization and cultural reproduction.
- In terms of communication skills: develop lexical and conceptual tools necessary for the study of sociology of youth studies and approaches and useful to acquire exhibition skills in written and oral form.
- In terms of learning skills: critical and reflective self-learning skills and organization of study at individual and group level.
