CHEMICAL PHYSICS LABORATORY
(objectives)
The course covers the key concepts of the principal topics in Chemical Physics: thermodynamics, kinetics and quantum mechanics. Students will be introduced to the experimental aspects of Chemical Physics, and they will familiarize with the theoretical and experimental aspects of spectroscopic methods commonly used in the investigation of biomaterials and biomolecules. The course aims to develop the skills necessary to autonomously apply basic physico-chemical concepts and spectroscopic techniques (UV-vis absorption and emission, FT-IR, XPS) to the study of biomolecules and biomaterials. XAS and XRD spectroscopies will be also introduced by prof. C. Meneghini (1CFU).
