To provide students with theoretical-critical and operational tools aimed at the construction and transformation of contemporary urban space in order to
• increase their awareness of the problematic features of the urban condition and the social, environmental and economic implications of the use and transformation of the territory;
• develop a critical thinking with respect to the possibility of prefiguring actions capable of addressing the problems posed by the city.
The course includes theoretical classes and exercises with analysis of urban plans and policies, studies on consolidated and changing urban territorial and social contexts, and design of parts of them.
