ANTONUCCI BARBARA
(syllabus)
The course integrates theoretical lectures on various methodological approaches to translation with practical exercises focused on tourism communication. Particular attention will be given to Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP) through the analysis and translation of informative and operative-persuasive texts (websites, advertisements, brochures, guides, podcasts, etc.) and the critical evaluation of the translation strategies employed. Furthermore, key concepts such as localization, transcreation, and copywriting will be explored in depth. Theoretical concepts will be consistently supported by case studies and contrastive analyses of source and target texts. Finally, the course includes periodic translation assignments with scheduled deadlines, aimed at consolidating the practical skills acquired.
