Overview for the preparation, characterization, and procedures of conventional and innovative pharmaceutical dosage forms. Students will acquire the basic knowledges for the production of galenic formulations and the relative information for managing the best practice in pharmacy.
The course is aimed at the acquisition of the theoretical and practical principles of pharmaceutical technology. A broad overview of the preparation, characterization, dispensing and analysis procedures of conventional and innovative pharmaceutical forms will be provided. Students will acquire the fundamental notions for the creation of galenic preparations and the related information for their handling and safety in the pharmacy. The knowledge acquired during the course constitutes essential and strongly characterizing aspects for the pharmacist's professional activity as well as in the industrial and academic fields.
