(syllabus)
The course is structured into three complementary modules, corresponding to three disciplinary areas (legal, managerial, and economic), for a total of 9 ECTS credits. These modules are an integral part of a single final exam and aim to offer an integrated, critical, and multidimensional perspective on the sustainable model for production and consumption.
Module I- Circular Economy, Responsible Production and Consumption (Prof.ssa Di Pietro) -Basic principles of the circular economy and its relationship with Goal 12 - European strategy for the circular economy - Circular business models and product design for circularity - Supply chain management from a circular perspective - The role and competencies of the circular economy manager - Waste management in the context of the circular economy - Applications and practices in the food, textile, plastic, and service sectors
Module II- Corporate Sustainability: ESG indicators and ratings (Prof. Valerio Pieri)
Module III- Legal aspects related to circular economy, bioeconomy and sustainability (Prof. Francesco De Leonardis) - Circular economy and circular bioeconomy: juridical definition - European Product Policy Framework - Principles and hierarchy of waste management - Waste, byproducts and end-of-waste and principal case law
