(objectives)
The course of study provides for a compulsory curricular traineeship of 8 cfu (200 hours), assessed as ‘suitability’. The internship is external, and takes place at an organisation outside the University (company/body/association), which has signed an appropriate agreement with the University of Roma Tre. The agreement process and the formalities for the start of the internship are carried out through Gomp. The traineeship normally takes place in the final phase of the course of study. The student is supervised by an internal tutor and an external tutor (who, on behalf of their own organisation, will follow the procedures set out in the Gomp system). The training project is agreed with particular attention to the definition of the training objectives to be achieved: the company tutor supervises and coordinates the experiential activities; the university tutor monitors and supervises learning. At the end of the course, once the documentation from the company tutor has been received, the university tutor records the course on Gomp and awards the corresponding CFUs. More detailed information can be found on the dedicated page of the cdl website: https://scienzeformazione.uniroma3.it/didattica/e-learning-e-media-education/stage-e-tirocini/
As per Department practice, information on internships is not normally disseminated via Gomp, but rather via the CdS page. The traineeship office handles the practical formalities for the start and end of the course, while the teaching secretary's office is available to students to help them contact lecturers and deal with any additional formalities. However, a description of the competences fostered by the placement (as per the Dublin Descriptors) was included in Gomp - note that each placement is an individual pathway, carried out on objectives and in a manner agreed upon with an external body. Competencies developed during the internships in the "E-Learning and Media Education" course at Roma Tre University aligning with the Dublin Descriptors: • Applied Knowledge and Understanding: During their internships, students engage in supervised activities within their professional settings, applying theoretical knowledge to practical tasks. This integration of work experience with academic learning allows them to develop and demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge and understanding in real-world scenarios. • Autonomy of Judgement: The program emphasizes the development of critical evaluation skills. Students are encouraged to assess the educational value of digital environments and multimedia products, fostering independent judgment and critical thinking. • Ability to Learn: The training path aims to equip students with the skills to independently update and deepen their knowledge. This includes identifying appropriate training tools and pathways for the development of their cultural and professional competencies, ensuring they can continue learning throughout their careers. These competencies are cultivated through a combination of coursework, practical activities, and reflective practices, ensuring that students are well-prepared for professional roles in e-learning and media education.
