Acquisition of the basic theoretical knowledge on the physics of ionising radiations, the mechanisms of its interaction with biological matter, and its application in nuclear medicine; understanding of the basic physical principles on nuclear imaging techniques; acquisition of basic knowledge on radiation protection dosimetry; ability to apply this knowledge to solving practical problems such as optimising patient dose in radiation oncology.
