This year's course constitutes a detailed analysis of the following issues which will be examined sequentially:
- The edification of an ethics of peace as a result of liberal republicanism: Kant and the "perpetual peace" project.
- The eruption of pure might as a source of political legitimacy: Nietzsche and "the genealogy of morals"
- Subjectivity and its dispersion between freedom and security: Freud and mass-psychology
- Desire, hope and the reality of politics: Freud and the discontent of civilization.
- The faces of mere might: Arendt on violence.
