SODO ARMIDA
(syllabus)
The program includes the study of radiation-matter interaction and the main spectroscopic techniques applied to biomedicine. Specifically, the following will be presented: - vibrational techniques (IR absorption and Raman scattering) - techniques using X-ray sources (diffraction, fluorescence, etc.) - nuclear magnetic resonance - mass spectrometry For each technique, the basic theory will be explored, the instrumentation described, and practical examples of data processing obtained through simulations, scientific articles, or laboratory experiments will be discussed. Students will also be guided in the study of the most current applications of the techniques presented through the analysis of recently published scientific articles.
