LOMBARDI ROSA
(syllabus)
The course introduces contemporary literature from China and Taiwan, beginning with socialist realism, and examines the transformations of the literary landscape in the 1980s and the emergence of more experimental forms in both fiction and poetry. At the same time, it presents the development of Taiwanese literature from the colonial period, tracing its historical and cultural dynamics from a comparative perspective. The theoretical framework will be complemented by the critical reading and discussion of selected works.
