(syllabus)
The course examines the main institutions of labour law and employee rights with particular reference to their implementation in the digital society. Specifically, the following institutions will be considered: - the sources of law - the constitution of the employment relationship; - contract, employment contract and collective agreement; - contract types: subordination and autonomy; - the powers of the employer and the use of technology; - technological innovation and training: duties; - remote controls using technological instruments; - the disciplinary procedure; - dismissal for just cause and subjective reason; - agile work; - labour supply and contracting; - the transfer of a company; - dismissal for objective justification; - collective dismissals; - work contracts and coordinated and continuous collaborations; - hetero-organised collaborations; - the work of riders; - protection of rights: waivers and settlements.
