(syllabus)
The course aims to provide fundamental skills in architectural representation within the Master's Degree in Architectural Design. To this end, the student will have to demonstrate the ability to exploit the most appropriate representation techniques for knowledge, first, and the communication, then, of the architecture under study that must be studied and explored and then practically reproduced. The different techniques of representation will be the basis of theoretical lessons on some of the architects, and their communicative language, to then also study communication and the possible ways of graphic execution. The student will use all the concepts learned during the lessons, divided by topics, in the reproduction, at maximum expressive capacity, of the assigned exam topic. The topics covered during the lessons, to ensure a deep knowledge of the architecture will be: Drawings as an expression of an era. Techniques and graphic models throughout history. Analyze the communication of architectural design. The digital revolution 1.0 and 2.0 and their importance in analysis, knowledge, and three-dimensional spatial processing. The photographic representation. Techniques and tools. Photographic composition and reportage. Parametric and mathematical three-dimensional modeling applied to architectural design. Digital space, control and management of perspective views. Conceptual renderings and photorealistic renderings. Video making. Photographic postproduction of rendered images. Analysis of new technologies for architectural representation, from 3D printing to Virtual Reality.

Provide a knowledge of the processes, principles and digital technologies available for the construction of Digital Twin through the management of data from surveying tools and documents for the analysis and management of models dedicated to the territory and architecture. The course focuses on the methodologies of BIM and HBIM, integrated also to GIS, integrating information, in their widest geographical and built, according to processes and models that make effective and sustainable the digital transition in territorial and architecture. The course will aim, therefore, to provide theoretical and applicative knowledge, through lectures and seminars on theoretical aspects and application study cases, related to the following modules: management and visualization of point clouds; creation of HBIM geometric and informative 3d models; augmented reality.
