The main objective of the Ecosystem Management Laboratory is to introduce master's students to applied environmental biology in its many aspects. These laboratories will lead the student to discover the importance of applied research in environmental biology studies, exploring animal and plant biodiversity and its different uses and application aspects in the fields of biomonitoring, management and conservation of fauna, flora and habitats.
In addition to classroom lectures, through practical laboratory and field activities, the student will learn and experiment with zoological and plant identification and sampling techniques, as well as analysis of the biological data collected. The student will also acquire the basics of interpretation of anthropogenic phenomena, the socio-environmental system and the history of events so as to analyze the cause-effect relationships between ecological components, anthropogenic threats and determinant factors.
