(syllabus)
The first part of the course requires an introduction on the sports legal order and its legal sources. The following topics will be mostly discussed during the lectures: the employment sports contract; the sports agent; communication and imaging exploitation commercial contracts (sponsorship, commercial advertising, merchandising, licensing); other sports contracts (ticketing, broadcasting rights selling, ambush marketing); torts (general aspects, civil liability referred to athletes, teachers, coaches, events’ organizers, sports facilities’ managers, institutions and other stakeholders a latere involved in sports activities); sports justice, arbitration and other ADR procedures. Other topics of the course: the parties of the sports legal order (IOC, CONI, national and international sports federations, Confederations, associated sports, sports-supporting institutions, sports companies and associations, athletes, sports auxiliaries, doping).
