(syllabus)
The course provides an introduction to the methodology and techniques of psychological research applied to organizational contexts, for the promotion of organizational development and human resources well-being. The main topics concern the research design and the development of instruments for data collection, with particular attention to the differences between quantitative and qualitative approaches and to the peculiarities of mixed methods. The following topics will be addressed, with explicit reference to their declination in the organizational sphere: - The method and techniques of psychosocial research: quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches - Measurement in psychology - From bibliographic research to the research question - The research design: what to investigate, how and with what purpose - Qualitative methods (observation, interview, focus group) - Quantitative methods (questionnaire) - Describe, summarize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data - Read and communicate the results of a research
