The programme will analyse in detail, through the entire system of available sources, the main topics under discussion in the field of medieval Italian archaeology, such as the transformations of urban and rural settlements in the Middle Ages, the main production activities and funerary practices in medieval Italy. The second part of the course will take the form of a seminar, and students will be asked to present a scientific text on a topic that will be chosen during the course.
