The course aims to provide a robust preparation for the quantitative processing of geological and geophysical datasets (seismic sections, well log data, geological mapping, stratigraphic sections) for the realisation of 3D reconstructions of subsurface structures, through the use of modern and widely used software packages in companies in the energy sector. These models will be used to assess the prospectivity of an area for the retrieval of resources (with particular reference to geothermal energy and natural gas) and their sustainable management.
