STUDENTS ARE INTRODUCED TO THE METHODOLOGIES ADOPTED FOR THE HELICOPTER FLIGHT MECHANICS ANALYSIS, WHICH IS DOMINATED BY MAIN ROTOR BEHAVIOUR. IN PARTICULAR, PHYSICAL PHENOMENA INVOLVED IN ROTOR AEROELASTICITY AND THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL SUITABLE FOR THEIR DESCRIPTION ARE DESCRIBED. FURTHERMORE, VIBRATION AND NOISE INDUCED BY ROTOR AEROELASTIC RESPONSE, WHICH ARE IMPORTANT ISSUES DEALT WITH BY MODERN HELICOPTER DESIGN, ARE DESCRIBED AND THEIR MDELLING IS BRIEFLY OUTLINED.
