The lexicon of the Russian language: word formation rules (lexical derivation and compounding). Introduction to phraseology: collocations and idioms. Elements of historical grammar. Selected grammatical topics of particular difficulty (participles and gerunds).

Readings for attending students: the course material will be provided in electronic form during the course. A selection of texts dealing with the topics of the course will be analyzed, translated into Italian, and discussed in class.
