• TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS TO THE MAIN SOCIOLOGICAL CONCEPTS, THEORIES AND MODELS. PARTICULAR ATTENTION IS PAID TO POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETIES. • TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH KNOWLEDGE AND CONCEPTUAL TOOLS USEFUL TO ANALYZE CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL CHANGE.
CANALE M-Z - The course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts of sociology and main sociological theories as tools for a critical analysis about social reality. A special focus will be on social stratification, inequalities, and climate change. - Providing knowledge and conceptual tools to the students useful to analyse current social changes.
