Introduction to Italian dialectology and to the dialects of Italy. The third phase of the Roman dialect.
Course description: the course aims to introduce the student to the linguistic discipline of dialectology, to the concept of dialect, to the Italo-Romance dialectal systems and their characteristics according to the various levels of analysis (phonics, morphology, syntax and lexicon), to variety of the Italian repertoire and alloglot languages. The second part of the course, more monographic, will be reserved for the language of Rome: from the language of Belli's sonnets to the varieties of today's Roman repertoire, with particular attention to the post-unification romanesco by the great playwright and actor Ettore Petrolini.
