(syllabus)
The course on “Educational research, teaching of writing and handwriting” is divided into two modules, each worth 3 ECTS. The whole course is worth 6 ECTS. Starting from doodling in preschoolers and writing at school, the course will focus on the neurophysiological aspects of the graphic gesture with regards to the correct teaching and learning of writing. Besides, through a focus on research on handwriting, models and methodologies of empirical and experimental research will be proposed in order to analyse and improve handwriting skills. The contents of the second module will focus on: the didactic-educational value of the body and movement in playful-motor activities; motor development: ontogenesis and evolution of basic motor patterns in the developmental age; acquisition of motor skills, the description of postural patterns and the development of coordination and conditional skills in developmental age; motor activity and autonomy: socio-intellectual, emotional and moral development; educational environments and didactic setting: space, time, tools; development of fine motor and gross motor skills; motor learning through sensory-perceptive experiences and manual activities.
