(syllabus)
The course presents the structures of the Italian language, first examining them according to their level (phonological, morphological, syntactic, lexical) and then highlighting how they function within texts. Particular attention will be paid to syntax and the structures that characterise and organize simple and complex sentence with their relations with semantics, pragmatics and textuality. At the end of the course, students will know basic concepts and categories of Italian linguistics and will have learnt how to use them to achieve a deeper and more conscious understanding of the syntactic features.
