Introduction to structural topics of road vehicles. Geometry and set-up of the vehicle. Tires. Wheel suspensions for light and heavy vehicles: geometry and components. Steering systems. Automotive and hydrostatic transmissions (two and four driving wheels). Braking systems.
Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic driving for braking, steering and suspension systems. ABS, ASR, ESP devices. Passive safety systems (air-bag, belt-tensioning). Automatic and semiautomatic transmissions. Ibrid vehicles
