Gene and chromosomal mutations, DNA repair systems, effects of genome alterations in somatic and germ cells. Physical mutagens, chemical mutagens and their metabolism. Genotoxic pollutants in air, water and soil matrices. "In vitro" tests in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, "in vivo" tests on model organisms. Application of mutaganesis tests to environmental and human populations biomonitoring. Elements of environmental legislation.
