Derived from	20705275 MEDIEVAL ARCHAEOLOGY - L.M. in Archaeology LM-2 (professor to define) (syllabus) In the first part of the course the main themes of medieval archeology will be addressed, such as the transformation of cities between late antiquity and the early Middle Ages, medieval rural landscapes, the so called Curtense system, the "incastellamento", trade and archaeology of production. The second part of the course will deal in a seminar with a topic that will be chosen jointly between the teacher and students, and will take place with the presentation and discussion of reports on texts made available to the participants. Module: (objectives) Knowledge of the history of medieval art and the history of Byzantine art (IV-XIV centuries), of themes and specific problems of the discipline; ability to analyze and read works of art and their context; ability to analyze the written and graphic sources; acquisition of methodological skills that enable independent study and research; ability to apply the acquired knowledge in order to develop and expose logical and coherent arguments; ability to communicate information and ideas to specialists and non-specialists.
