Linear time invariant systems. Impulse response and convolution integral. Fourier transform. Filtering: low pass, band pass and high pass. Passband transmission methods for continuous signals: amplitude (AM, DSB, SSB, VSB) and angular (FM, PM) modulations. Modulators and demodulators. Sampling theorem. Principles of numerical modulation and demodulation. Numerical modulations FSK, PSK, PAM, QAM. Performance evaluation. Satellite navigation systems. Main characteristics of global satellite navigation systems (GNSS GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS). Methods for calculating the positions of satellites. GNSS receivers: architectures, circuit solutions and algorithms. GIS: data representation, data analysis and applications.
