Derived from	20101111 LEGAL ENGLISH in Law LMG/01 AL LUPPI FABIO (syllabus) This course is meant to introduce students to legal English. The main aims of the book and of the matarials available at the professor dashbord are: 1- the students' acquisition of a specific legal terminology and usage of legal English; 2- providing an overview of the UK and U.S. legal systems and a stimulate a comparison between them and the Italian and the European legal systems (CLIL); 3- Through daily lectures, written assignments, and in-class exercises students will practice a wide array of legal English skills ranging from legal reading and writing strategies to oral presentations thus developing a linguistic and metalinguistic awareness. 4- developing competences of textual analysis and of critical analysis of texts dealing with legal issues; (reference books) Boyd, Michael S., English for Law, Bari, Neldiritto Editore.
