The aim of the course is to provide physical and mathematical models to analyze the vibrations of the machines.
Discrete and continuum models, such as beams, strings, membranes, plates and shells, will be introduced during the course as well as the methods to analyze complex mechanical structure, including the finite element method. Furthermore, the problems related to the rotordynamics will be also examined.
