THE UNITED NATIONS 2030 AGENDA FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: POLITICAL AND SOCIAL IMPLICATIONS

The e-learning course "The 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals" easily illustrates the birth and meaning of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, briefly describing each of the 17 SDGs and showing their interconnections. - Introduction to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in its entirety and general contents - Analysis of 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) - Critical discussion of the structure of the Agenda and the links between its goals, both in terms of synergies and possible conflicts - Insights into some of the 2030 Agenda goals in the political and social dimension, in connection with specific interests and/or curricula of each student. The Course is divided into two parts: - a common part of the University, based on 18 multidisciplinary frontal lessons on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and an e-learning module prepared by ASviS (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development); - an ad hoc part, carried out with the tutorship of a guiding teacher, to deepen particular themes and objectives of the Agenda itself with guided reading and/or written essays or other works.

The common part consists of 13 lectures dedicated to the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda in a clustered way and functional to a comprehensive and focused reading of the 2030 Agenda. These lessons will be entrusted to high-profile speakers, both internal and external to Roma Tre. The compulsory attendance of these lectures, supplemented by an e-learning module on the 2030 Agenda of ASViS (Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development https://asvis.it/) and the readings indicated by the speakers, will be worth 3 CFUs.
The in-depth study part will consist of a personalised study path within the Departments, under the guidance of a responsible lecturer, on Agenda 2030 topics consistent with the student's course of study.
