(syllabus)
The Workshop on Professional writings in educational professions intends to respond to the needs of students who must develop writing skills useful for the design and processing of emblematic texts for the academic path (i.e. reports, papers) and/or for the professional future (i.e. logbooks, various types of professional writings). Considering the importance of monitoring and documenting educational activities in the professional contexts, these issues will also be explored by dedicating attention to the application of writing strategies in contexts aimed at early childhood. The formative path includes the participation in face-to-face meetings and the carrying out of individual and/or small group activities aimed at developing the students' ability to understand texts of different types, to analyze them critically and to process them effectively. The formative activities will be aimed primarily at encouraging the development and consolidation of one of the key skills for training success, such as the ability to communicate effectively and consciously. The workshop will also be aimed at strengthening students' writing skills, suggesting useful strategies for the analysis and production of scientific texts in the educational field. In fact, these skills seem to be particularly important for those who work in educational contexts aimed at early childhood, who are responsible not only for documenting what happens in the section but also for interacting with families and within the educational staff. As part of the workshop, the strategies that will be shared with the students may also be useful for the drafting of several emblematic documents for the university formative process, including the internship report and the degree thesis. In this regard, the main characteristics of the data collection tools that can be built and used in education and during one's own observational and/or practical experiences in the field will be presented.
