Literature and History in the XIX sec. Manzoni and Nievo.
The course aims to analyze, within the European affirmation of the novel genre, the Italian debate and the main models of our nineteenth-century tradition. Through the analysis of the "Promessi Sposi" and "Le confessioni d'un italiano", we intend to offer a deepening and a reflection on the binomial history/ fiction, theoretical node of the romance tradition.
