20702644 Documentary Cinema- Reality vs fiction in contemporary documentary cinema in DAMS - Studies in Performing Arts L-3 N0 PERNIOLA IVELISE
(syllabus)
The course will be structured in two distinct parts: a first part will address the history of documentary cinema from its origins to the contemporary, through the study of movements, currents, authors and trends. The second part will focus on the Italian political documentary cinema from the beginning of the 2000s until today, identifying currents, linguistic forms, productive and distributive realities of the new militant cinema. The course also includes some meetings with professionals in the documentary sector in order to put students directly in touch with the professions of cinema.
