The workshop is divided into two parts: 15 hours address the introduction to the screenplay, its languages, and its narrative modes, with attention to narrative genres, worldbuilding, and storytelling; 15 hours will focus on writing practices, addressing them through writing exercises. The second part focuses specifically on issues such as the passage from the story to the screenplay; the novelization and the relationship with film writing; the relationship between the plot and the script; the opening scenes and the first act; the production of the character, from its subtext to the dialogue; film analysis and opening models; the distinction between iconic and abstract language; film time and film movement.
