From the Soul to the Self: our idea of Subjectivity and of the Person.
The course aims to focus on the formation of the modern self and our way of conceiving ourselves as subjects and as people. Indeed, our society is undoubtedly based on the individual, conceived as "Self" that emerges from a complex path, which implies a certain way of living the interior, of conceiving one's own subjectivity, of putting the sense of Self in a new way in relation to others. The path will be divided into two parts: 1) a more strictly historical-philosophical moment, in which to analyze the development of the notions of Soul, Self, Subject; 2) an analysis of how, today, we conceive the notion of Person.
