The course has the following formative goals: the mastery of the major principles of ecosystem, population and community ecology, the application in an ecological context of the knowledge worked out in previous courses such botany and zoology, the analyses of ecological processes in field and the strengthen of interest for those ecological issues concerning the relationship between man and environment.
Moreover, the course intents to develop the basic background for sampling, organization and interpretation of ecological data.
