Sts will be able to:
- Use a monolingual & a bilingual dictionary;
- Consult a language corpus;
- Understand and report the history of English and of English words;
- Understand English language change and variation;
- Understand main features of English phonology & phonetics and of pronunciation;
- Understand morphology, grammar and syntax of English
- The English lexicon.

A special program for students who can't attend will be agreed upon with the lecturer at the beginning of the course.

Achievement of B1 level in both receptive and productive skills.

Development of students’:
a) basic knowledge and understanding of the main features of the foreign language;
b) ability to apply acquired knowledge to short texts of different types;
