Poems from modern and contemporary Italian literature will be read in depth during the course. The materials will be available in the Teams channel of the course.

- Leopardi "Unit"

- Montale "Unit"
1. Eugenio Montale, Ossi di seppia, edited by Pietro Cataldi and Floriana d'Amely, Oscar Mondadori, Milan 2016 (or subsequent editions): including introduction and annotations.
2. Massimiliano Tortora, Living one's own contradiction. Immanence and transcendence in Eugenio Montale's "Ossi di seppia", Pacini, Pisa 2015.

Attending students will prepare one of the two "Units" (n° 1. literary text + n° 2. book of criticism) of their choice. Non-attending students will prepare both literary texts, and will choose one of the two books of criticism.
