Introduction to the principles of antitrust law through an analysis of the historical origins of the relevant legislation in the North American and, subsequently, European and Italian legal system. Study of the basic legal institutions, their justification from an economic point of view and the functioning of the mechanisms related to their concrete application in the perspective of the main Community and national case studies. The seminar aims to enable students to fully understand the origin and motivations of antitrust legislation in free market countries and to equip them with the basic knowledge for the analysis of concrete cases, through the study of fundamental rules and analysis. of practical cases.
